When putting the uv printer to a lets say 2 or 3 days break . Should we just clean and moisturise the printhead or do we also need to flush out the ink from the dampers and the hoses?

Thanks for these videos Jay. I recently bought an ACHI A4 UV printer and barely printed 2 prints before it seems to have clogged up. I reluctantly bought the overpriced UV cleaner online. I should have trusted my gut and just used the good old Denatured alcohol I also use to clean my UV resin 3D prints.

Pls after installing the new head, i dont know why the ink is entering the cable and it has affected one of the holse in the head. How to stop the ink entering the cable while printing. Thanks

Make sure you don't have a hole in your ink tube that could be making the ink siphoned. Causing exsesive ink ink your system. This would be noticeable if you turn off the printer and move your head over the platform let it sit there for 15 minutes does it drip any ink? It shouldnt

sure clean them with head cleaner then use a moisturize and push it though the head just like the cleaner then keep it stored away from light and sealed in a bag

Can denatured alcohol be used to clean the printhead with ecosolvent inks?

It can for stubborn clogs but acohol shoukd be last resort as it is hard on the head

If printhead is good, if ink motors are good, if cables are good then motherboard is dead.

Question for you, I was doing this to my head. there are 6 nipples, the outside 2 on each side would shoot cleaning fluid back at me, but the middle 2 would shoot through just fine. Can you by chance explain to me why the head is shooting back at me?

@ExtremeTitan69 the silicon inside your print head has ruptured if your pushing into 1 and it sprays at you in another you will need to replace it

@@JaysToDoList Honestly I have no idea. It's a rebranded printer from what I can tell. I've replaced the printhead once and we had to buy an xp600 but when I'm in the software it says Epson L1800 Series and Printer: Stylus Photo R2000 but that may just be the drivers it uses. i'm lost at this point.

Where did you get your new head? It's possible something shorted now while you are changing the head. Or Maybe they cable put in backwards or something or the new head to potentially have a short in it which would blow out your preheadboard

If youre not printing anything at all, but it goes through the motions like it is, you might have a blown fuse on the mainboard.

you video is sympatic but you can't say to everybody to put alcohol in printhead, I have work in development of ink and cleaning solution and they need to now the reality. for unclog printhead this is the mix for good cleaning and lubrification of canal for not have white ink clog tomorrow : Diéthylène Glycol (15 %) 2-Pyrolidone (7 %) Éthylène Glycol (5 %) Polyéther (3 %) water: 70% I give it because it's not expensive to make it and people say use alcohol but not never of a little quantity like 0,5% ammonia the same is not good for canal, tube. its chemical study for find the good liquid to clean different things.
