I have listened and I now have two large feature triangles on my lawn area that I allow to grow and have put seeds that I gather from the flower beds in with the grasses. I use the grass seed to repair patches elsewhere or just leave them for the wood pigeons to enjoy! I have a wood pile at ground level and also a sort of wigwam of taller pieces of wood cut from an overgrown privet that I have put bird feeders on, not just those in cylinders but the dish sorts too and of course the bird bath. I have a fox that regularly visits, squirrels, field mice,hedgehogs, I dont even mind the rats when they come to feed on the ground seeds. I have discovered a huge Hawk moth near my wood pile and am hoping that it will encourage others to come around. I love the bees and spread the seeds from fox gloves all around the garden. I leave the dandelions until they seed and then collect them up...a not about them..they are clever, you can pick a furry dandelion head and possibly drop it on the ground unaware that it still lives!! It continues to produce seed..a warning there. I have lots of birds, from tiny wrens up to huge crows and love watching their different society and how they are during each day..having spats and fun too. Love it. Lock down has not been boring for me.

I also love the work you do.. I've been planting bee and butterfly friendly plants and put up a bird feeding station. We have tits, chaffinches, thrush, blackbird, buzzards, pigeons, collar doves and squirrels. We also see the occasional fox. Our pond has newts and frogs and toads. We see field mice, voles and shrews. I'm considering a wildflower patch at the moment There are several types of bees in our garden, burrowing, bumble and others I don't know the name for. All in all, we derive great pleasure from sharing the garden with our visitors.

It was very interesting to see brown Jay Birds in my garden more than six at a time last year, but very few this year. I am preparing the process of attracting other wildlife for 2023 and rearranging the garden for a pond and a meadow which I have never done before, I plan to do all sorts to give them a head start! 😊

Lovely video build a pond too just a small one with a beach and oxidisation plants. It will invite animals and insects to drink and breed. Dragonflies need the water to be a metre deep to lay their eggs but a foot depth is enough for frogs, newts and water beetles.

Love video you mentioned water but can you suggest water o the ground as the hedgehogs love it, mine drink for about five minutes each time they visit and they visit around ten times a night so a lot of water consumed.

Now the birds you attract with bird feed how do you disect and cook them? And how much can you eat on a hedgehog? I gutted one not long ago but not much came out of it so is there something I missed?

Saw a fox the other day on a night time nature walk at a nearby river. Scared the life out me, till I realised what it was 😆
