Hi Zoe, I absolutely love your videos, since I discovered you a few months back I watch your videos regularly, often repeatedly as you make it so easy & enjoyable to watch! I would love if you would do a video on how to make Irish dancing shoes, even better if they were with the socks attached, I don't expect you to have time to do this but if you are ever looking to do something like this I would be so grateful to see. Many thanks for sharing your talent & knowledge, I've learned so much & you are more often than not my 'go to' tutorial for anything I have to make! most sincerely, Jennifer (huge Irish fan!)

Hi zoe, can you please make a detailed tutorial on how to make the cake (with the embroidery) that looks like a box with a lid? For a round cake... From start to finish... I'm not sure how to do the lid... Please help!

Can I please have your recipe for royal icing? I'm not sure what consistency is needed...
@zoesfancycakes10 жыл бұрын
Hi Louise, I buy the boxed royal icing and add water in the quantities on the box, it then needs thinning down a bit, but I'm afraid there is no exact amount, its a case of adding a few drops of water at a time and checking the consistency. When you stir it it should move back slowly rather than staying at peaks, if it goes back to being smooth quickly it is probably too runny. I'm not sure I've explained it very well, but if you have a look at this site they explain about the different consistencies really well. www.sweetsugarbelle.com/2012/03/consistency-is-key-twenty-second-icing-and-more/ Hope that helps. Thanks

Hi Louise, your comment about making a present seems to have disappeared :( It might be a while before I get chance to make a video on how to make a present decorated in brush embroidery. but I literally used the cake in the video and added a strip of fondant all the way around the top edge. I then added the brush embroidery patterning to it x
