I find the Denman brush works much better when brushing larger sections of the hair. Which is great because then it takes less time!

Thanks for sharing!! I'll definitely have to try with larger sections!

You're right about detangling.I have a perm and am just learning how to do this technique with the Denman brush. I am finally getting how to use the curl cream, then Denman, then scrunch, then add the gel, then diffuse. I have watched SO many videos. I could never do the twirling around the brush handle...I'm too uncorordinated! Thanks for this detailed video!

My hair also gets stuck in the brush. I think because it’s so fine and past my shoulders. The longer it is the more it tangles in the brush, mine does anyway. Loved all the different techniques shown in the video!

Yes mine too! 😅 Doing a small section at the front was okay but doing my whole hair in the shower is a nightmare, however today I dry detangled before my shower and then washed with floracurl products and denman seemed to glide quite nicely through my hair compared to usual 🤭 not sure if it was detangling, floracurl products or a combination of both 🤔

if I can give you a tip. the method of brushing and then turning the handle works better if you turn the brush so the brush is down and the handle up

Thank you! I will try that, I think I saw India Batson did it like that 😁

This is so interesting🤩 I always do the second method but I’ll try the first method and the others but yes I agree that was the winner! I have to try that out. This is so helpful thank you!!!🤩🤩 Didn’t expect it to be the winner. I need to stop buying and start experimenting with styling and combos! What gel did you use here?😍
@wavygirljessie3 жыл бұрын
Thank you! I didn't expect that one to give the best result either 😱 I used a lil bit of the 2 curly secret gels, they always give me amazing definition but for some reason it doesn't seem to last very long not sure why 🤔 I need to experiment more with them 😅

You hair looked AMAZING at the end! My hair is very similar to yours but thinner. I would love to see a weeks worth of how you style. I find my hair is ok for a day, MAYBE two but then it goes down hill and I struggle. Glad I found your channel!

Thank you! Fine wavy hair is such a struggle sometimes 😅 a lot of my washdays I do try to come back and show my day 2 hair but after that I don't because of work. That's a great idea though I'll try and do a video on it either next week maybe or during summer 🥰 I usually wear my hair up in a messy bun a lot of the time because I work with kids 😂

Tbh I feel like curls look better as a whole when they’re not super perfect and uniform. Like, sure if you grab a piece and look at it it’ll look better, but it looks more natural with different patterns imo.

How do you know if you need to remove rows?
@wavygirljessie3 жыл бұрын
Go by how easy it is to glide through your hair, for example my husband's hair is coarse and low porosity so doesn't tangle as much as mine, with his hair I don't need to remove any rows, but my hair gets caught really easily, especially the more rows I have haha. Does your hair tangle easily??
@MarronStone3 жыл бұрын
@@wavygirljessie my hair can tangle easily in a brush. But by itself not as tangly as it used to be, it's gotten less tangly since starting this cg journey. I do have fine, high porosity hair.
@wavygirljessie3 жыл бұрын
@@MarronStone your hair sounds like mine then! I honestly don't use this denman very much because of my tangles 😂 but if I were to use it make sure your products give your hair a lot of slip and maybe try with 4 or even 3 or 2 rows
@MarronStone3 жыл бұрын
@@wavygirljessie thanks! I haven't tried the denman often either, but will try with less rows next time! Will make sure to use leave-in conditioner as well 💪 Would you add the gel before or after the denman? And yes I love your videos cause I think our hair is quite similar 😄

my hair is too thick to use a denman brush, it would literally take me hours to do my whole head
