I've had my ranger for 4 years now and been running 91 tune, cv fab downpipe, cv fab intercooler, mishimoto CAI, mishimoto oil catch can, turbosmart BOV and it makes amazing power with no issues.

i'll save you some time. Go CV Fab Charge pipes and Intercooler unless you have a complex and need Mishimoto. They run great and cost way less than others. Worth it. -2022 Downpipes are slim RN for the 2022 Rangers. I have the Tremor 22 and only SPD makes a bolt HF DP for like $700. CV Fab should have one soon for way less. 2022+ DP's are not the same as the 2019-2021's. Catless would be best and can be fab'd - MBRP Exhaust sound amazing. Quiet at cruise but Scream at WOT. Boria are loved by the Rowdier crowd. - The throttles suck on Ranger unless in sport mode. Pedal tuners help. - Unleashed or EMS seems to be some of the better tuning options. Mountune, Lovernois, 5 star, are the go to more many people. - Run E30 fuel if you can. Lower temps, cleaner, and add 20-30WHP when tuned. Gas mileage will suffer but if that is a issue what are we doing here. If you really need, you can add a ethanol sensor to the vehicle with a Fuel it kit upgrade. i did but it is a pain in the ass with out correct tools and purpose built fittings. * I have a JB4 that can alone push to about 318WHP as a piggyback plug and play. It gets better boost but the trans is still stock feel. Added a Ford Tune and that helped the shifting and response. dyno'd at 330WHP /390 TQ. Could be at 340WHP Now. The intercooler came after the Dyno numbers and it really did add power. Custom tune is my next go to. I wanted to play around with the JB4 but left me just wanting more. If your don't want to break warranty, a jb4 leaves no trace as it doesn't flash your ecu.(In theory at with a Ford tune, should comply with warranty work as long as the dealer doesn't know about the jb4 and you had them install the Ford tune). a JB4 It also has a pedal adjustment that helps with the laggy stock throttle response. Custom tune fix everything for cheaper than what I did. The low end torque is powerful on the Ranger but they all poop the bed past 4500 RPMs. Even the setup I have. Only a custom tune can push out the power curve properly. In all, the truck is crazy fun for what it is. I can chase down Coyote F150 as is. Cheers.

CV Fab and SPD make down pipes for your model. There are several intercooler options you can choose from. I went with ESP on my 19 ranger and it’s amazing. CVF and mishimoto are options and are expensive. As far as tune goes, I wish I would have went with Oz tuning. It meets every need you’d want.

@8020Media .... sounds good, will do. Ranger is coming along quite impressive. So far all mods have been for function, over fashion. Other mods include: turbosmart plumb back bov, fox 2.0 front and rear with camburg tubular uca's and deaver hd leafs, shrockworks skids and rock rails, rokblox mud flaps, rcv front axles, and full synthetic oil. (Camp mod: SuperPacific X1 camper shell). ... really looking forward to eventually installing overland magnaflow exhaust and tying it all together with the Ford Performance Tune.... Then I would call it good all around, and start thinking about wheels and tires (currently on stock chrome 18's and oem Hankook's). 2.5 years and hard work to get this far on the build. Has been fun to put together. Thank you for the interest 🙏🏼🤙🏼

@@tribalseanI wrote a bunch of stuff, but KZbin sucks the video ended and an ad played erasing my 2 paragraphs. Good work on your truck. Mine still has 2 years full warranty and 2 years of full service maintenance plan on top of the standard plan. So I have 2 years to plan mine out . This video is probably where I'll start, I would like bigger wheels just to get extra ground clearance of the axles, Ford told me when purchasing truck that it would be very expensive for them to do it, my Ranger has the 17"rims, they said I'd have to upgrade the rims, so 18" plus the larger tires would likely give me the extra clearance I want. Then Ford or a good tuner would have to adjust computer/fuel measuring and speedometer measuring for the bigger wheels. Fun times ahead.

@brandonsheffield9873 .. I know what you mean. I've learned to have to wait for video and ads to finish before writing anything. I found my Ranger on carmax, so no extended warranty for me. I think you can keep the 17 size wheels, just need a zero or more offset. Our stock ones come as -55. The fox 2.0's are relatively affordable, I recommend upgrading the upper control arms at same time to allow more freedom of movement. The Ford tune sounds like a blast, we'll worth the 91 octane requirement. Thanks for the kind words. Take your time and do your research. The build is definitely part of the fun. Keep on keepin on

This is for discussion sake, and I’m not a smart ass! So if you have time, I’d love to get your opinion on this : I was under the impression that the intercooler is actually pretty decent and you’re better off just upgrading the hot and cold pipes from the intercooler with better diameters and less sharp turns. So from a performance standpoint, I think intercooler is a huge expense when you can get so much more bang for the buck by just doing a few other things. This is for discussion sake, and I’m no expert believe me! But I would replace the hot and cool sides of the intercooler pipes and throw on a exhaust that exhaust really does choke on the muffler and there is more to be had this exhaust is given credit. Every other car I’ve had, the exhaust is good for maybe 3 hp and it’s only sound so conventional thinking for sure! In this particular application, I would challenge you to put on an aftermarket exhaust, specifically one of the better ones like Borla or Roush and checking the performance gains. I have to tell you that I believe it will be more than an intercooler. Now the cooler sounds like it’s for safety and that can’t be overlooked! So I don’t disagree that it’s a worthwhile mod but it would be probably one of my last ones, if at all. I would go with - Cold air intake - Higher flowing/better intercooler piping - Borla exhaust (or one that is high-quality) - Hi flow downpipe which for me is going to be a lot of fun lol I live in Cali and at least right now. I have some time but eventually it’s every two years to swap. - Tuner!! I would imagine that I would come out just a little above you. But if my motor blows up and your stays together because of the intercooler, then yours was the better move. I actually put in an oil separator because to me that is insanity to allow oily residue to get everywhere. I feel like that is more important than the intercooler. Especially if you’re running a downpipe, plus called their intake, and if you added my intercooler suggestion, which it’s just the piping not the Intercooler itself. I don’t know if you saw it but Whipple has an intercooler upgrade and possibly pipes… It is extremely underwhelming. It’s about the most dollar per horsepower/torque I’ve seen. And the thing is these trucks have a lot of parts that have great bang for a buck Do you have any general thoughts or did I type too much? Sorry about that by the way.

The Ranger can detect the quality of the fue,l adjust timing and other performance functions to increase power without additional tuning. More octane, more power. Also running premium grade fuel protects the motor from ware.
