Building an Evo X to 500whp is a common goal amongst many Evo X owners! You've seen us building the Ultimate Evo X on our other series, but that car hasn't gotten to a point where it's putting down that much power yet! SO, we wanted to give you guys a quick video that will walk you through the performance parts needed to build an Evo X to 500whp!
PS OBVIOUSLY YOU'LL NEED A CLUTCH THAT CAN PUT THE POWER TO THE GROUND, BUT WE DIDN'T INCLUDE IT BECAUSE IT DOESN'T ACTUALLY CONTRIBUTE TO MAKING THE POWER.

I just bought a ceramic black Gen 2 GTX 3576R from MAP and i love this Turbo so much ,,!! Spools so fast and makes amazing HP,, Im at 508awhp and 412ft lbs on stock block running 1700IDX injectors ,AMS Garrett intercooler , ETS hard pipes, ETS down pipe ,Speed circuit heat shield, Cobb catless exaust, MAP cast turbo manifold, Grim speed 3port EBC, Cobb CIA ,Cobb silicon hoses STM tuned couplers with STM clamps, AEM 340 e85 pump and e85 lines, stock fpr, Stock coils , stock plugs, Gapped at 0.20 Car makes this Jam on 93pump gas @28psi boost .. Car has Ohlins full race coilovers, BFGoodrich G force 275×35×18" all around Enkie RPF1's . This car is on 93 octane pump gas and has not been tuned on E85 yet..BD Alchemist is my tuner and tuned on Tephra V3 mod EVO scan software with openport tactrix cable,, Car Has plenty more in her but not without Ethanol & flex fuel sensors which are comming soon..

Does this apply for any evo x what if my engine not forged I'm from the UK so I'm not sure if US evo x are built different, mine currently run 400 bhp with 410 torque

A few items I would add. inline filter and fuel pressure regulator. Fuel rail, fuel lines & surge tank. Exhaust manifold external wastegate. Open dump. Downpipe. Test pipe with electric exhaust cut out. OEM resonator. Titanium axle-back. Evo 8 rear diff swap. Carbon Fiber driveshaft. AYC pump relocation. Boost solenoid. AFR, Boost, Oil Pressure, gauges. Heat shields: valve cover, firewall, transfercase. Exhaust wrap on manifold & downpipe. Rotors, Lines & Pads. Coils, Control Arms, Sway bars. Meaty shoes & RPF1's Weight reduction. 80lbs less of interior & trunk. Smallest radiator possible AC delete bugspray delete. Pulleys, all the pulleys. Hoses, all the hoses. Oil catch can. Spoiler delete. Steel underplates. Clutch job & flywheel. Shifter bushings.

Any recommendations for EVO's with the SST, still bone stock since I'm not a fan of how I was told I would be replacing my fuel pump relay fuse on a regular basis once I replaced the fuel pump.

If you want 500hp in the MR do this. This is my build and im currently at 540 WHP on Corn and 520 on pump gas -Full Exhaust -Downpipe -Open dump (optional) -Front mount (ETS 3inch) -Upper and lower intercooler piping -Tial BOV (Recirculating 10mm) -Grim Speed boost controller -G35x turbo ( Ceramic coated) Tubular headers (ceramic coated) you can do a cast manifold if you want more torque, if you want more power do tubular -1300 cc injectors -New valve cover (not the factory plastic) this one is metal -Fuel rail -Fuel pump -Fuel pressure regulator -Fuel lines -Cold air intake Ensure you find a reputable builder and tuner. Im on 24-25 pounds of boost. You just dont want to turn the boost up too high. I also HIGHLY recommendable building the tranny, mine went out and I had a new one put in by Jacks in Co Springs (one of the best sst shops in the nation) or you can send it to Kosmic in TX…they charge about 2k for the upgraded fork and clutch pack but it handles more power and is more reliable. After all that just ensure your tune is proper and boom. 500 WHP. Build cost me about 12k and some change.

In most scenarios, a 200 cell or lower High Flow Cat will have negligible losses over a test pipe, at most 10 WHP. There really isn't much of a benefit to not running a cat these days unless you're shooting for over 750WHP and need every bit of flow.

93 yes my car is 500 and a bit of change on 93 however 91 is doubtful without a ton of knock count...Go e85 if you cannot get better gas than 91 at the pump..

False. I’ve been over 500whp and over 400wtq for a little over 3 years now. Daily driven weekend raced. There’s a lot of misinformation out there but myself as well as a few buddies are proof that it can be done and last a while. With that said longevity is going to be based on how you treat the car and the quality of your tune.

@@TimClarke_RealEstate I have a completely stock engine. Never even have taken off the valve cover, I've been over 500whp for years. Only because of E85 though, California 91 is shit so I could only run low boost on it. I know someone making 600whp on my setup and he's been over 500whp for 90k miles. He's also a tuner and rips it everyday doing about 30K miles yearly. Find out what dyno your tuner using, dyno dynamics read 15% lower than dynojets.

I just picked up an MR and it has your tubular manifold, downpipe, ets full exhaust, ets intake, all the charge pipes done, 1000cc injectors, cams.... What fucking stage is this thing?! 🤣 It's tuned on 93. Put down 405 wheel on the dyno but I'm new to evos. I don't think the turbo is stock either based on the powerband, gonna get it on a lift and look more tho

That's probably based on just stock frame turbos, most stock frames will limit you at 500 without breaking the bank hard...
