I was a Combat Engineer. We built a few of these. Imagine being in inclement weather & MOPP 4 & getting shot at while building this. I miss the army.🇺🇸

great watching others struggle with it :) notice they did not dock time for the bloke falling in the gap during the decking panels going in.. but don't mention that #UBIQUE

It's nice how everything is laid out and not strapped to 2 pallets( one on a 4 tonner). Only 9 men over a gap and trafficked . But good job

Top panels weigh in at 400lbs each, bankseat beam is 1,800lbs. It's heavy stuff and only the fit need apply.

Is this thing made of plastic or something? I was a combat engineer in the army many many years ago and the Bailey bridge we built was solid steel. We built one in ait and it took like 200 guys most of the morning. This fucking thing was heavy.
@paulleach36126 жыл бұрын
Bloody Bailey, absolute loads of 'em out in Bosnia, and we built one in Basra back in '01.

Bailey Bridge was horrendous we spent 2 days on that at Hawley Hard, most of the emphasis was on this if I remember rightly. Got I was fit back then, 2010. Had it in summer as well for an extra kick in't nads.

It’s the MGB Medium Girder Bridge. They announce it.

It's aluminum. It's heavy enough but not as heavy as the Bailey. And a lot fewer parts. We used it back in the 80s.
