How to Build a Concrete form - DIY For Beginners

Hey everyone! I watched several videos on youtube that show form work but none that start as the very beginning. I have NO concrete experience so I really wanted to come at it from another perspective. I hope if you have close to or no experience in concrete this video will get you just that much closer to diving in and doing your own projects around your property!

I actually learned a few things from this video. However, I have a 'cement' project to deal with, pouring cement one inch thick around the cement supports of my balcony. I built a 3/4'' thick box around the cement block I want to re-enforce. Any tips?

anyway you can make it thicker? I don't have much experience with concrete and this was my first big pour but Ive read you shouldn't pour anything less then 2 inches thick. maybe dig down a big to thicken the pour?
