Since the Corvid has struck, it maybe that is why there is no other videos on this build. An update of why there are no other videos would be the right thing to do, given that this was turning out to be one of the best trailer builds on KZbin. We Want More! Ha Ha. Please, please please! Thank you for this one. Love from NW Colorado. Thanxz

A couple of issues I noticed in the build so far. You used a cut off wheel to remove the eyebolt, but never painted over the fresh steel. Also you were drilling right through the upper flange of a C Channel frame. This will weaken the frame greatly.

I rebuilt a Starcraft Starmaster 1906 XLT and ended up having to replace the original axle with a 3500 LBS axle. Ultimately I decided to add electric brakes and had to go from 12" wheels to 14" wheels and increasing the capacity of the springs from 1750 LBS to the next size up and cutting some of the unnecessary frame away from the wheel wells to gain more clearance and to help prevent the new 14" wheels from hitting the wheel wells going over the pot holes on the highway...

Making a trailer for my snowmobile the back end I'll just use 2X4s so it will be flush for driving onto. This is the second one did about the same but not the 2X6 which leaves your deck with a nice lip around the edge. I use a shore-lander trailer works like a charm.

I wouldn't use fg insulation. I would use foam and some venting, because you will get moisture in that space eventually and it will not be able to get out and start rotting the wood. Today's pressure treated lumber is not as good as it was before they phased out CCA. Also, FG insulation will become a place for rodents to get in if you fail to seal every tiny hole. The bastards will get in there and tunnel in nests while filling it with mouse turds.

I do not understand why you would build this so so heavy and you did not undercoat or paint the bottom, 2 by 2's would have been good you have the steel structural support underneath so heavy over kill. You added so much weight that you did not need.
@TigerMiller13 жыл бұрын
You screwed your floor down before running plumbing and wiring. You didn't put a waterproof membrane underneath to protect the plywood from the moisture. And the big thing is your probably haven't considered the weight limit of the small trailer. I kinda think you realize this which is why there is no more videos on this project.
