I think you should turn that whole basement room into an S scale lay out. Dogtown farm on one end and a grain elevator facility on the other with farm ground scenes in between👍🏼

Looks like it coming along well bud:) in my opinion, is extend the rail system and bins all the way to the other side of display, make scale office father down and smaller lol. Love what u said about the " putting larger things towards back of display " so it catches a person's eye:) keep up the great work and videos sir, love your displays and ideas !:)

Very cool, looking forward to the next video! I would stop the bins there, or go with the cement, but that’s just my Pennsylvania point of view!

It might work to put your elevator on the L part you were talking about so you will have more room for fields or barn lot. Or, put the rail road tracks at an angle in a corner and then put the scale across the road and having the driveway loop around the back of a concrete house. It would be close to a figure 8 drive. Whenever I get my display together(some day), I am going to use a Walthers Co-op HO scale concrete house with a CN grain train I have been piecing together. It won't be perfect but will be good enough to play with my kids. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with.

If you put your fields in the l part you could change it up for different seasons and have the main display on the 4x8

Jason are you going to get any of the new J&M grain carts or seed tender? Love the new display. You may won't to move your scale forward some. Put a road in front of the elevator with a railroad crossing and on the other side of the elevator put a creek with a bridge with a field and put dogtown farms on the 4x4.
@FortheLoveofTractors5 жыл бұрын
That's a good idea. I don't know if I will get the J&Ms. They look awesome though. I have a couple kinze carts already though. I may get that seed tender though.

I would say ditch the scale and scale-house as a whole because where i come from medium size farms don't even have a scale. the only farms that have any are those that buy corn. idk, just my opinion. just seems like 2 scales and a scalehouse will take up alot more room then you can afford.
