Love the tutorial! Just wondering about the costs? Thank you!
@dcwoodworks Жыл бұрын
Thanks! im glad you enjoyed it. It really depends on the size of your railing etc but these panels were each under 100$ and the wood was about 400$. Over all its under 1000$ for this size. I hope that helps!

Are the relief cuts down the center of the post or just in the top and bottom plates?
@dcwoodworks4 ай бұрын
Yup they are. I set the glass 2 inches from the upright posts so no need to cut them

My railings are 6ft long should I have 3 post or 2 ?
@dcwoodworks2 жыл бұрын
I would personally do three. So your glass panels are just under 3 feet each. That will look really nice
@fineye52 жыл бұрын
@@dcwoodworks . My mistake I ment to say there 5 ft should I do the same ?
@dcwoodworks2 жыл бұрын
@@fineye5 I still would I wouldn’t have a single panel over 3 feet long. Just my personal preference but I think it would look funny if it was too much glass.

I ordered some from a local glass company but I’ve also done it where I find what’s stocked on Home Depots website. (They have so many sizes) for their exterior glass railing systems. And I’ll build my railing off that. Hope that helps!
