If you make a silicone mould of your glue stick then you can melt the glue and colour it pour it in to your glue stick mould then use them in your glue gun . Might help with some other projects. Well done.

The lava is amazing. It went from what looked like a couple of yellow plastic strips to incredibly realistic with a lick of paint and som cork. What gets me is the way you and your fellow model makers can fit days, weeks or months of crafting into a 15 to 30 minute video. You make it look so easy. Hats off to you, sir!

Hahaha thank you David, I can't speak for other creators but in my experience it really it amounts to lots of hard work and many late nights. Viewers often only see the build but don't stop to think about how much work goes into making a video. Thanks and much appreciated 🙏 👍

The journey of this one from start to finish was amazing. Most builds you look at and you appreciate all the work and imagination that went into them but you have a very good idea how it was done. This one though hmmmm there was so many questions as to "how" it was achieved. And as usual your delivery both audio and visually were spot on. I think sometimes when looking at your projects we forget how much work goes in getting a video to a quality that quite frankly makes us forget this isn't a big time producer with massive resources getting these results. So in closing well done on all levels. From tackling a smoldering volcanic event, making it come alive to the production values of a movie studio. Having your unique personality come through and keep it both interesting and entertaining throughout the whole videos kudos to you sir.

I build large production special effects for Vacation Bible School for my church. This year's theme is Our Lost World (based on The Lost World: Jurassic Park) I'm about to build this type of volcano on a grand scale. Approximately 10 feet tall and 20 feet in diameter at the base. I plan on using 2x4s for the frame and canvas drop cloths for the volcano shape with canned spray foam for the various channels and lava flows. I'll incorporate CO2 cannons and confetti cannons for the closing ceremonies and the final explosion of the volcano on the last night. Do you believe that the LED strip lighting will shine through the spray foam for a nice lava flow effect?
@creativecuts78035 ай бұрын
Sounds epic. And yeah if you use leds that are pretty strong then they will be able to shine through most things.

I was wondering do you mix the mod podge with the black paint or you apply mod podge then paint it ?
@creativecuts78032 жыл бұрын
Either works but mixing it all together just saves a step. I also was very worried about what you can and can't mix early on, but soon realised that products like mod podge or pva can be mixed up with most things quite easily. Anything water based really.

About how much did this entire project cost?
@creativecuts7803 Жыл бұрын
Apart from the price of the model the rest was relatively cheap. I bought a bunch of black hot glue for cheap from amazon. I cant remember exactly but approx £10 for 100 sticks and then a few push button led lights from the pound shop. Approx £3. So all in about £20

The volcano itself is very nice! I don't think you should've added the dragon, it takes away from the volcano, which is the main focus. And I don't like the material you used for the clouds. I think you could've either made it denser or used something better. All in all, 9/10 in my book!
@creativecuts78033 жыл бұрын
Cheers man and appreciate your feedback. The Heldrake is easily removed and used often when I play 40k - I just slide it on its original base. The poly fibre used for the smoke was just for effect. Its not fixed so easily removed also. All in all it was me trying out an idea. I learned a lot and if I were to redo it I would definitely do it differently. Either way I had fun and learned something which is why I do it. 👍
