Thanks for watching! Be sure to check orientation of electrolytic caps, the jacks, DC power, diode, and LED. All of these parts have a positive/negative lead. The box caps (100nF and 33nF) and ceramic disc caps (47pF and 470pF) and the resistors are non polarized. I got into it the summer of 2022. I rebuilt the electronics in my first bass and then wondered to myself if there parts out there to build pedals. A couple hours of KZbin videos, including a couple of yours, and now I’m way too deep into a hobby that I don’t think I’m ever recovering from

Started building pedals end of 2023. The catalyst was my obsession with the RAT, and what components contribute the particular attributes I prefer. After successful RAT and D+ builds, I’d already had my sights on a fuzzface project. I was intimidated by the bias part of the project. After this video, picking up one of your kits was a no brainer. Purchase made. Happy to finally have purchased something from you after enjoying and utilizing your content for years. Love what you do,and this recent kit venture meets me right where I’m at. Hope to see more. Can’t wait to dig into the build🤘

Building pedals came from a basic interest to be able to solder or modify/repair things with an iron. From cables to guitar output jacks - simple stuff that cost a lot of money and time to bring to a tech. As my curiosity with pedals & effects grew, I wanted to learn how to design or mod them. But first? A handful of kit builds to learn, and make mistakes, and ultimately have a workable result at the end, with the option of modding or socketing the pcb for easy component swaps. I'm still slow, but with each kit I get better while I learn about relevant concepts in electronics for how pedals work, and how to eventually design some.

I built a Silicone FF before, and it was one of my first builds. I found it surprisingly versatile. I used a power jack that i found from Amazon, which was threaded on the inside. I learned the hard way to have the jack's nut screwed in before soldering or you would have to desolder to add the nut lol

It was a ton of fun building that DXD250 kit! Learned alot just from the vids you post, and searching sites for the parts needed, aswell as trouble shooting, just to find out I just suck at soldering wires. Definitely suggest people get PCB mounted pots. I definitely plan to for the fuzzface kit lol Solder suckers and solder wick is also super helpful for correcting issues like I had haha But yeah, if I can manage to use the kit to build an awesome sounding pedal, anyone can! Definitely grabbing the fuzzface kit when I get paid later this week!
