Kris, great stuff on this type of genre producing❗ I actually use this production format in Acid Pro 10. I tweak effects as I go along, just like you, to make sure it fits in the mix . The dry elements aren't enough. You have to enhance them just a little to hit that musical harmonic sweet spot. VERY IMPORTANT. It gives that track life.

Yeah! Even the best drummers are never 100% consistent with how they hit drums, so if the velocity is just a little different on each hit, it helps it sound more like a real drummer and less like a robot :)

Hey Kris, I'm new to Logic. At 13:40 your kick and snare from Battery are now separated onto 2 midi tracks. What is your workflow for this? I tried write clicking the midi region and selecting "separate by pitch". It created 2 separate tracks, but grouped together, which is not what I want.
