I really appreciate that you weren’t worried about being “perfect” with all the cuts and jointery

I added a small addition rock climbing wall / rope ladder to our new wooden playground. I used three 4ft treated 4x2 wood as the base, 10 cedar wood fence and cut to size ( will use left over for small bench), box of 1 5/8 wooden screws. Total $45 bucks just for the wood and $50 Amazon for 25 rock climbing hold, hardware, rope and two handles. $100 bucks addition was worth it as the playground set that had the rock climbing feature was almost $300 more. I would definitely recommend Pre drill even though it’s extra steps. Save you from splitting the wood

How much did it cost you?

Could have used one static image to visualize certain details. Also, he recommends 6 8’ 2x4s but only shows or explains two crossmembers on each wall. There is enough for 6 crossmembers on each wall.

yea- that is a little confusing- i built it using just two of the the 2x4s, but I might run a center board down the inside of the rock side just for additional strength...Also the measurements for the eye hook/rope side is a bit confusing... would be nice to have photos of each side of each panel....

1x6s are way too weak for any longevity. Figured it out after. If you want something will last, make the face boards 2x6 too

HAHAHA! I've had the hand-hold kit w/hardware for about a year now. Didn't know exactly what to do with it. Searched YT, first video I saw was this, and now I am heading to the hardware store for lumber and hopefully this afternoon the grandkids will be climbin'! Thank you so much! Sub'd and hit the bell. ;)

Where did you get the climbers??

In terms of cost - I had friends who made one using OSB board - there was some flex in it but it seemed reasonably sturdy - don't know what people think about this...
