I use these all the time. The trick with them is to use 1 finger to switch the breakers. Watch his finger how he switches it. If you try to switch up in the middle of the breakers they can miss fire. Again watch how the system is switched. Eady to install and easy to operate but using the one finger method is key. I explain this to all my customers. This is a great product but you need to know that tip. Thanks for the video.

Question: 1. When building a generator bypass switch, do you need to also bypass the neutral line as well or can you just bypass the hot? Alternating current, so ????

Great question! Definitely work with your electrical inspector but typically we do not break the neutral.

Positive head screwdriver and a flat attitude. Got it.. next put the piece in the center then turn it off. Ok . Got ya.. question. If black is hot , whats red? Pretty? Because whites neutral and bare copper is vegan right? I gotta have an inspector come out and check em out so would be nice to know because last time he said they werent pretty enough so i ran a bunch of red wires in to jazz it up in the break dance panel. I put some led lights inside also and i noticed it actually has its own fog machine inside somewhere.. i dunno where it is but looks good and busy inside now..

Thinking the same thing - I think a better design would just slide along the middle of the breakers so that both can't be on, but they both can be off or just one can be on.

Are you talking about so you can plug in a generator to a panel?

@@electricianhub86no, it's basically a 50 amp generator socket and 50 amp plug that a large awg cable with corresponding ends plugs into to you have grid power, unplug it and in its place a inverter with corresponding ends plugs in so you have inverter power

You definitely do not want to back feed from a generator without a proper lockout management system
