In Today's Video, you're going to learn how to build a free edge, which is the first step in sculpting acrylic. The free edge serves as a guide for when you apply your overlay bead to build the cuticle area and the body of the nail.
Young Nails manufactures the highest quality professional nail care products (acrylic, hard gel, gel polish, nail art, nail polish, nail accessories, nail files, etc) in the world. To learn the nail application in all of the forms - acrylic, gel, nail art, etc - watch our videos for extreme education. We offer nail education out of our Anaheim, CA facility. “How do two brothers get into the nail care business?” This is the single most common question people ask us. There’s a long and rocky version but we’ll give you the short one. We have our fearless and unconventional mother, Young Salo, to thank. With a single-minded entrepreneurial spirit, she decided to start her own business at the age of 49. She had a passion for the nail industry and we did everything in our power to support her. In the end, this is a family business.
Greg, the older brother, became a licensed nail technician after switching gears from fire fighter’s training. He is energy personified and has a true passion for developing the best professional nail care products and education. Habib is the younger brother. He jumped in a few years later; taking a detour from medical school and a life in music. He brings his own creative mind for business, marketing and strategy. Unexpectedly, we are a perfect team.
Today, more than 20 years later, Young Nails Inc., is a professional nail care manufacturing company exporting to over 40 countries worldwide and distributing domestically to over 3000 stores. We’re respected for our next-level product innovation and education. Our mission is to bring you the best quality products and we’ll show you how to use them with incredible results. It’s really that simple.
Welcome to the Young Nails family!

I look forward to this series of YN videos. Watching Habib’s journey helps me with my continuous journey of being a beginner so much. I can relate to all of this. Thank you so much YN for these videos, Tracey for being a great teacher, having patience to teach and Habib for wanting to learn and help us learn along the way.

I’m still sitting here re watching the video over. Ngl, I’m a sucker for acrylic application. It’s my favorite part. Acrylic setting. But I remember how insane it was when Habib was trying acrylic for the first time on the channel. He’s come a long way from that one video!!! So many beginners around the world should see this journey. It would be so helpful. You guys explain things in such a chill and insightful manner. Not to mention, guys doing nails! That’s so cool af.

My fav teaching style I've seen, teaching as student is actually learning for the first time. I feel like the teacher is giving more thorough hints because she doesn't have to think 🤔 of what hints and tricks to teach she can see what the student is doing as apposed to having to remember what a newbie might do while doing a demo on Sally.

I need to try your acrylic monomer already. The beads always seem like perfect ratio and sculpted like butter.

That third try was perfect 👍. You making me want to try it. Question: how does temperature affect the acrylic??

When it’s warmer the acrylic sets faster and colder it sets slower😊

I💜forms lol my only question is the way your natural nail grows underneath the enhancement is it okay ?
@youngnailsinc
@youngnailsinc 2 жыл бұрын
If the natural nail grows out and has no issues, it is fine to leave it grow. However, if it starts to peel away from the product, you may have to clip off the nail and re-sculpt from time to time or use the Under the Nail bit to file out the nail underneath.

Hey guys over time (so by the 3rd or 4th refill with returning customers) I noticed that I'm getting cracks in the side walls and even though I would just add more products to strengthen it tends to look a bit bulky
