What is a ball and stick diagram in this context? My web searches turn up lots of examples of ball and stick diagrams representing molecules, but so far I haven’t found any like what you’re referring to. Can you link to an example, or offer some search terms that might help?

Good question. You're right that it's super un-googleable because of the use in chemistry. That's a really interesting observation and we'll take that into account when using the term in the future, so thanks for letting us know! Basically when people use "ball and stick" for dungeons or other maps, it usually means it's handling it like a flowchart, where you have nodes with something written in them and then lines indicating connections but not drawn exactly "to scale" with their lengths and distances.

@@arcanemark2562 Thanks, Mark. We software engineers tend to call that sort of diagram a "boxes and lines" diagram. But that term would similarly ungooglable for similar reasons.

@@DaleHEmery Yeah, for sure, I've also heard of box and line diagram in CS classes but was thinking of them as more tied to CS context, whereas I've heard other people refer to mapping dungeons via ball and stick, even though it's probably equally mapped to the chemistry context.
