*Took 2 to assemble and 3 to lift into place **MyseIf.Furniture** Directions were pretty clear. A large space is needed to layout all the pieces. The cabinet is holding up well after many weeks of use.*

Well done! This was the exact video I’ve been looking for. I bought a house without a pantry and have been looking for a way to add one. I have a space about that size that I’ll have to frame in, but I’m so much more emboldened to make that happen now that I’ve seen this!! Thank you so much!

Great job!! My husband is also building me a pantry. We have one but it’s in the laundry room which has always drove me crazy lol. We have to entrance ways to our other living room from the kitchen and the one entrance by the laundry room he is closing off and creating my own pantry. Can’t wait. Love yours. I know your wife appreciates it because I have a husband that does the same for me, and I appreciate him.

It can be difficult and I actually lived in this house for 2 years before I noticed it. I was able to check the room on the back side of this empty space and I measured it out and it was missing 2 feet of space. I also have a basement and was able to go below and make sure that there wasn't a chimney, pipes, wiring, or Air Ducts running through the space. Thanks!

Thanks for the video. Planning on doing something similar at my house. Can you tell us how did you secure your door jamb (the long piece of wood that your door hinge will be fastened onto). I didn't see any screws and looks like you nail it along the whole piece. What is behind it? Is there a stud?
@SimonSaysDIY
@SimonSaysDIY 4 жыл бұрын
Good luck with your project! The door jams were mounted to the studs I installed to frame in the new door way. I used finish nails to mount the door jams. I also used long screws on the door hinges that reached to the stud as well.

Hi! This was an awesome video. I would like to have this done in my kitchen, but not sure if there is an open space to place it. How would I find out?
@SimonSaysDIY
@SimonSaysDIY 4 жыл бұрын
That is hard to answer without seeing the space you have. However, if you have a conner in the room that is not being used it can be a great place to install one or if you have a floor kitchen cabinet that can be removed, just remove one section and replace it with a floor to ceiling cabinet/pantry. Doing this would likely triple your storage space from the section.
