Great idea and build! I love using a wire brush also to add to the distressed look.

I wish I cld show you a 50”x50” box I made for a hedgehog to live in ( a Hibernicula) I had one saw, sheets of ply & batons to cut, no clamps but a rope and a wooden spoon to put in knotted rope to draw sides in. I made it, with a lid on, integral entrance tunnel & a bedding area & a double lined floor insulated with polystyrene and a camera for luck. Naturally I’m please as punch with myself esp as I did it all sat on the kitchen floor as I am physically compromised so bending down is out. Ok I’ve finished now, everyone can rest easy or Pat me on my needy but brilliant back 😂
