If you are trying to get a job as a software engineer but lack a degree and experience then you need a way to show off your skills. The best way to do this is by building a project but not all projects are created equal. I have made a cross-platform file encryption desktop software in Go, published it under MIT licence and shared on LinkedIn. Recruiters and engineers keeo telling me how much better it is than some people who just build a twitter clone

That is pretty impressive. Yes a lot of people just make clones but then don’t go the extra mile by adding in documentation, thought process and monitoring. The more imaginative you can be the better.

After I finished my training where the company used C#, I fell inloved with it. It's simple design, OOPness which makes more sense to me than writing javascript don't know why haha and It's the same age as me, It's a no brainer haha. Yes I have it on my backlog. I would say electronics is harder but that might just be my experience from when I was at uni.

@@alexhyettdev electronics can be challenging but getting an entry level job seems easier than in software development. Maybe it's because there's a lower supply of potential applicants in electronics. Software just seem like it's over crowded and as a result it's really difficult get that first job. Thank you. I am using a Blue Yeti X microphone. I have it on an arm so I can have it as close as possible but just out of shot. I added some thick curtains and cushions as well which helped a lot to get rid of echos.
