Never thought there could be a DIY of greenhouses! I am redesigning my garden and I am also a novice to gardening so I am always open for advises, tips and experiences. My sister has an amazingg garden and I got inspired by her. Her glass greenhouse purchase form Mulberry greenhouses is the cherry on top to that beautiful backyard garden. I am also planning to get one but need to learn a few things first. :)

You can do this! also, this was a greenhouse I built for a friend.

I like this - I may make a rectangular version. How did you latch the door? Also, door knob? And ventilation?

Very nice build, only thing I would have done extra is paint the 2x4's white.

Love this idea - is it warm in the winter?

Yes, you have to keep a heater in there

Very nice build. Why didn't you use the wavy white foam that goes on top of the roof under the poly? It guarantees no leaks.

Where do you get those poly panels? Been looking for a greenhouse plan to copy and this is as close to what I want to do. I didn’t want to use the cheap looking plastic sheets.

How did you finish off the outside corners?

I just rounded the plastic corners around the corner, they make special angle corners I just didn't know about them at the time

By chance do you have a materials list that you used for this project? Want to kind of get an idea of what I need to buy so I don't make several trips to home depot.

Are you using 2x6 or 2x8 wood on your greenhouse base?
@vierdoesit10 ай бұрын
2x6
@astrumdeus70989 ай бұрын
I was just wondering why you didn't buy 8 foot lenghts and just make it 8'x8'? Then you wouldn't have to cut the floor

A greenhouse does not need 2X4s too thick, throws too much shadow. Rip them down to 2X2s thatll work just fine. !

Cinder blocks havent been made for 80 years.
@vierdoesit Жыл бұрын
What?
@chuckm.5032 Жыл бұрын
They are called Concrete blocks now - Cinder is an old term for when they used to use actual "cinder" to make the blocks. @@vierdoesit
@EricRedbear6 ай бұрын
@@vierdoesit I think he just meant that you were using concrete blocks. Cinder block is made of concrete and coal cinders. A concrete block contains stone or sand which makes it heavier. They don't really make cinder blocks anymore.
