One thing is definitely cooling system and supsension needs to be fixed or upgraded and of course most oil gaskets will need to be replaced

Best budget hellcat killer is and will always be a s10 with either a junkyard 5.3 or 6.0 ls swap and a turbo or a 383 stroker with a 200hp two stage nitrous kit, decent built turbo 350 transmission, an 8.8 ford rear end with 373 gears, a good set of rear drag radials, and some minor suspension mods to get it to hook up.

skip the whole cut ring and race fuel and keep stock gasket and tune on e85. It'll hold even at 30 psi, no need for better headgasket unless you're lowering your CR

fully forged OEM internals are a cheap possibility if you know where to look. the same engine with M52tu pistons & the rest from an M54B30 is a 1000+ hp stockish bottom end🤡

Here in Europe the M50 is forged iron so you actually run those numbers here. 500whp is usually where people stop so they do not have to swap the ZF gearbox etc.

Buy cheap turbo kit the turbo and the west gate are trash and will need replacement soon extra 1k cz you go with good one this time When removing the head to change the head gasket you will need to resurface the head for like 500$ You will be crazy if you go on the old rods bearings thats like another 100$ You will definitely need an oil oump rebuild for like 400$ High pressure Fuel pump for like 200$ You will need to refresh the whole cooling system for like 600$ even if you dont want to do anything with the car Almost most of the time you will need to do the whole suspension for like 1500$ ( specialy if the car is only 4500$ its proly trash) When actually building the car you will come to a lot of more stuff you need to pay for , so yeah thats just dreaming

In macedonia is way cheaper but for us more expensive cause of standards difference etc.. Kosovo is known for turboing e36s from 1 to 2k € now u have to pay for the chasis to hold that turbo together which is not more than 2k all 2gether

You forgot forged Rods,Bearings ,Pistons, machine work ,ford 8.8 conversion custom drive shaft ,slicks, countless dyno runs an a clutch that will hold it if you want 550hp & still lose to a stock car ,other wise with the part description you are looking at about 300-350 stock internals an way over 10k killing diffs an axles on the reg spinning every gear praying it doesn’t fry rings or shoot a rod please do better brother I know you got it in you .

It’s also about torque and a gutted, engine swapped e36 would have shitty torque. the hellcat has 797 horse power and 707 pound feet of torque. No way an e36 is beating a hellcat.

I don’t know about everyone else but imo if you’ve spent any time trying to buy used tuner cars you’d know that the market is full of junk. This KZbinr acts as if you buy these ~20 year old beemers and all you have to do is slap bolt-ons and a turbo kit. Now, that doesn’t mean you can’t get lucky from time to time and find a gem, but I’d say 80-90% of the time they’re selling for a reason ie. the money required to fix is more than the value of the car, some kind of major issue they’re trying to hide (engine/trans/rust etc.) It’s not as if you’re buying a brand new platform to upgrade. Usually it will involve needing tires, brakes, suspension, and/or engine work. Not to mention the not-so-uncommon “I have to go unfuck what was done to this car previously.” I’m not trying to be negative but rather realistic and this is drawn from my own experience. Too often I find these YT channels sugarcoat or boil it down to being waaay less involved than what it really is and it influences young kids to go out and think they can build a hellcat destroyer for significantly cheaper than what it truly costs. You end up seeing them on FB marketplace with the description saying something to the effect “ran into some money issues and just don’t have the time or resources to complete my project. When built car should easily make 600whp.” And it’s a picture of a shell with an engine torn apart next to shitty Chinese parts laying everywhere. IMO If you really wanna know, ask someone trustworthy who’s actually built a very similar setup and consider what hook-ups they may or may not have.
