The Trompe Pump is amazing if you distribute the air into a water barrow from the bottom into a barrow inside the water barrow with weights on the top you have compressed air

If you make the intake bigger will it make more air pressure
@MrTeslonian2 ай бұрын
The pressure is based on the water column, so for every 2.3 feet of height you get 1psi of pressure at 1" in diameter

Great vid man! Something I've wanted to explore more in depth for a while, ever since I read about the Ragged Chutes plant.. I live off-grid at high (for this part of the country) elevation, near the ridge, but have constant supply of water from numerous springs and a creek that runs the length of my property, as well as significant fall. I also have some highly air hungry pneumatic machines/tools (forging hammers, etc), and producing/harvesting electricity to produce compressed air via piston compressors never sat well with me, even regardless of the losses in the numerous stages of conversion.. Do you feel like the ideal option (assuming one wanted to produce 80-100 psi, common pneumatic tool pressure) would be to drill, like one would for a well, or could this be accomplished above ground (assuming one had enough fall from water source) in a similar manner to a pin-stock for powering a hydro-turbine? Drilling seems like the better option at a glance, as you should be able to create a relatively self contained system from commercially available water pipe, and it would be protected, but I'm not sure how economical it would be if you had to pay someone to drill. Anyway, mostly mental-masturbation atm, I've got years of work to do just recovering from the damage of Helene (took out a ton of timber at my place, 4,000ft elevation and we had sustained 100+mph winds, with gusts far exceeding that, many healthy 2-4ft diameter oaks were literally snapped in half leaving the roots undisturbed, many others roots ripped right out of the ground) but would love to hear your take.
