If you have the space in the bottom of the chamber, I would recommend you line it with silicone baking paper, and a grate, to act as a standoff for boiled over resin. A stitch in time saves 9. Great build, and seal making tips!

I appreciate you applied the Teflon tape in the correct direction. In videos I all too often i see it applied in reverse direction 🙄. There are premade vaccume chambers available but i like the flexibility of separate components. Thanks for sharing this project! 😃👍

That DIY filter cone is what I need for my pump. These standard demisters always leak and the oil trails down, forming a puddle underneath the pump area.

So I always see the repressurization and I wonder, is there a reason no one installs a tee inside to have the air disperse more to the sides instead of directly into the pot of whatever you presumably don't want surprise particles in?

Do you think that a pot where the handles are bolted onto the pot would affect the vacuum? I can't find a pot where the handles are just on the outside and not fastened through the pot like yours are.
