I'm looking to build my first watch and cannot decide on a movement.. a lot of KZbinrs use the nh35 and I have one in my cart but is something else worth the extra money that would be more accurate out of the box? I'm wanting to build pretty much that exact watch. Explorer Dial and Tudor style hands with blue lume and a presidential style bracelet. My last name starts with S so I'm wanting a Seiko crown as well. Lol

Hi Ben, all the parts were found on eBay including the movement all from different sellers along with the hands from Cousins Material House in the U.K. if you know what movement you want to use just search for that on eBay. For example if you’re using the SW200/2824 movement and want a case just search “eta 2824 watch case” and many options will be listed.

I’d say it’s possible but you’d need to do a fair amount of research into what movement will fit what case or at least what you’d need to make in order to fit the movement into the case. It’s more common to fit older pocket watch movements into newer wrist watch cases.

I have a question. I recently purchased a watch with a Sellita sw200 movement. When I wind it,it sounds like something drags on the inside and after ,I hear the tipical tic tic you would hear when winding a watch. So ,first it drags, and after, you hear tic tic.,is this normal? I am aware whith the winding issue with the Sellita sw200. I just want to know if this is normal. I have a Seamaster chronometer chronograph, caliber 1128. I also have a deep blue watch diver 1000 gen 2 . Both of these only make the tic tic noise when winding ,nothing drags. Just want to know if the dragging is normal for a Sellita sw 200. Thank you.

I believe the CR5110 is the tag Heuer caliber 36 movement which is based on the Zenith El Primero 400 movement. Did you sawed off the end tip of the stem (goes into the mvmt) or the tip that goes into the crown?

If you need to shorten the stem you’ll need to remove material from the treaded side of the stem, this is the end that screws into the crown.

Great video! Quick question, what is the gadget used to press the hands on to the dial? Is it expensive and Is there an alternative if you do not have such item? TIA

why purchase a dial without a "hole" for the date, when the movement does have that function, is beyond me.
