Here is a tip: When choosing fonts, use max 3 different fonts. Make sure your long texts are easy to read and choose fancy fonts only for headers and such. You can also upload your own fonts, if you click on a font and then click to choose a font. Go all the way to the bottom and you can upload your own font. Hope this helps!

having a website is not about the follower count, it's about having somewhere that looks professional ready to go whenever you need it. I don't have much of a follower count myself, but my website played huge part in getting my first commissions. I can also use it to apply to art events, zines and whatever else I need it for. (Also I know this is all about wix, but let's be honest if you don't pay for wix they make your website look pretty amateurish not even mentioning the ugly URL you'll have to keep, so if you want a decent looking free to use website, I'd recommend the one I use, portfoliobox, i hope this is allowed lol)

Like anqi also points out, it's not about follower count. I created my first website when I was 11 (and it was horrible HTML back then haha) and I think for the first many years, I was probably the only one visiting it. And every year I would change the design and update with my newest art and so on. Then one day, before I started on youtube, I started getting some visitors regularly. So you should do it for you and your work to begin with ^^

Hi JV!! Thanks for asking (^-^) I have a subscription - I have the Business Unlimited plan (there are cheaper ones too). Since I haven't built a free site I'm not aware if any features are limited. So I tried searching for it online and looked at their plan comparisons. I couldn't really find anything that would suggest that the basic website builder tools are limited 🤔 Can you tell me which ones it is you can't find? It might be a sub-group in the tools that are limited, but I'm not sure XD But I'll gladly check if you can tell me which ones they are.

Thanks for taking the time to research that ❤️ I'd say the most prominent feature I'm unable to find is the one that lets you drop titles, text and pictures anywhere on the page and also lets you customize them however you like (cropping pictures, changing font sizes etc.). I tried adding text and image elements into the sections but they end up being pretty limited as to how they look. 😂

Because it is likely their own characters they want me to draw, and I have no interest in taking those rights. I just reserve the rights for the produced artwork. I don't think anyone would commission me if I claimed their IPs XD

there really isn't a difference besides what template the editor gives you. you can choose whatever you think fits you more because really it'll only change the appearance everything else you can change according to which editor you're in. I always recommend going into the advanced editor rather than a ADI

In terms of a template, I think I chose one under the Portfolio or Art category. But for hosting my account, I have the Business Unlimited :) There's a smaller business solution as well that is cheaper - I think it's called Basic ♥

Yea, I don't see why not? :) I had Squarespace before I moved to Wix and had my commission info there, and while both platforms have their pros and cons, you get much more customization freedom on Wix. Squarespace, though, has more fully responsive designs, which Wix doesn't have to the same extend.

Well it doesn't have to look like hers, remember! You can do what you want as long as you like it! Also you can add text on the left side. The third button down there's a plus sign. Click it and you can look down and there will be "Text" then you'll have many text options!
