I dont know any other P.T-Homeschool-large family mom so is great to watch you Thanks for encourage me

This was so real and helpful. I have lost 70 lbs. I am now at the point that I am not really focused on a weight # and focused more on lean gains. I want to firm up the leftover mama flab. This video was extremely helpful to me at this time in my life. I have been researching for a year now on eventually become a trainer myself. My local small town does not have one. But I want to live what I preach more before I go that route.

Just found your channel this weekend! It is a God-send! Ironically, I found you bc I was researching Erin Condren planners! Haha! But I have been telling my husband I need to get back into weight lifting and get into shape instead of giving in to this tired mommy body! I can relate to you in so many ways (I"m also a homeschool mom!) So thankful I found your channel! (I'm binge watching all of your fitness videos and they are definitely inspiring me that I can do this! Thank you!

Thank you so much for this video! I have been struggling trying to figure out how to lift. What my husband does, isn’t for me, and the internet can be vague. I’ve struggled for years with pain from jerky fast paced workout videos that leave me hurting in all the wrong ways. I love lifting just haven’t known quite how much or what to do to start off good. Thank you!

This was perfect. Just got comfortable with a basic upper body lower body thing and needed some guidance. This totally set me up for an easy to assemble push pull legs workout plan next week. Thank you for your time, enthusiasm, and inspiration!

I love this video! Super informative. I have had zero motivation. Tons of reasons why I should start. I have a good variety of workout equiptment in my garage...from weights to punching bag...but zero clue as to where to start...until now. I have started running again this week which is something I enjoy...but I wanted to start lifting weights. Thanks to this video I think I have enough to get me started. You saved the day for me ...again 😊 ty!

New here, and I've totally been binging your videos, love it! This one though was exceptional, since it was exactly what I needed right now! I've been frustrated trying to get started with weightlifting and couldn't find solid answers on how to build a workout program, everyone just shares their workouts and don't give guidance on how they built their program or workout! This was so helpful, thank you!

Alisha Williams you are welcome! That's exactly why I made it' so so so happy that this was what you needed! Good luck!

I love your channel! I feel like all your topics from homeschooling to fitness resonate with me so much as a new mom of two! Anyway, just wondering what your thoughts are on doing home work out videos as opposed to going to the gym? I’m not sure if I can have access to equipment and I was thinking of just doing my own body as resistance? Or perhaps a few dumbbells? Can you get the same results?

I love that I've found your channel! You are such an inspiration! I am at the beginnings of lifting, so you are saying for each body part do 4-5 exercises right?...so if I pair up doing triceps and shoulders one day I'd need to do 8 exercises total unless I did a "super set" right?

Can you share how you divide the muscle groups each week?
@mayracasarez93547 жыл бұрын
So helpful! Thank you!!!
@ashleykelso63728 жыл бұрын
This was great. One question I'm left with is how many muscle groups do you recommend working out each day. How do you set up your "schedule"? Do you do 1-2 upper body groups one day and a few lower the next and then abs and core another day? Thank you!
@GraceandGrit8 жыл бұрын
YES! Thanks for watching, this is a great question, i do plan to share what i do! I don't ever work just core because your core should be worked in every workout you do by supporting the weight your moving. I'd recommend that you do 1/2 body parts each day. My recommended pairings are chest and triceps, back and biceps, shoulders and legs.

Hey I listen to your videos while I’m on the elliptical &/or treadmill, but I’ve never seen one where you talk about cardio and doing to much, can you tell me the title of it!?!? :)) thank you so much!

Thank you for your time and information to help us. Does doing squats or lunges with weights count as weight lifting?

absolutely! Anything with weight in hand! Thanks for watching!

Do I do the same (chest and triceps) each day that week or do I pick a different set of muscles to work each day I do weights?
@GraceandGrit8 жыл бұрын
MommyandMadeleine great question! You would work your chest and triceps one time per week! Thanks for watching!
@danapowell93877 жыл бұрын
You've probably already answered this somewhere, but do you have to join a gym? I sure have enjoyed learning so much from you this weekend!!
@GraceandGrit7 жыл бұрын
Dana Powell no you don't have to but it's the route that usually creates the most success because you need some equipment .

My son and I would like to get some weights to use at home. He lifts at his high school, but we would like to have a set at home. We have 5 boys total so they will definitely get used, but I'd rather not waste money or space. Any thoughts on what to purchase?
@GraceandGrit7 жыл бұрын
Angeline Roberts I love that your teen sons are already lifting! That's fantastic! I'd reccomend a bar (45lb), and additional plates depending on their strength levels, because the bar can always be used and as they get older and stronger you can add more plates to the bar!

So I'm so out of shape that when I used what I refer to as the devil machine (it's an elliptical but you control the stride) on Monday I was really sore. Do you avoid that machine until you are no longer sore?
@GraceandGrit7 жыл бұрын
curlygirlyac no go for it again, after a day between! It will go away fast!

I am just trying to get back in to shape. I've gained around 100 pounds since getting married 12 years ago. Steadily. I started walking at the park with my four kids everyday and I tried to do a workout video on top of that. However my legs are now so sore that I don't know what to do. I still went for our walk yesterday. But I don't want to hurt myself trying to push through another video. HELP!

Also, I started keeping a wellness journal to help with goals and make small changes. This week was to drink at least 40 oz of water. Not a water drinker. And to exercise 3x this week. I'm trying to go slow because every time I jump into something I quit.😔
