I loved the original base video you initially did, too. Your matter of factness is always *delightful*. I don't think your explanations are long winded as you actually know what your banging on about. I hope you will eventually record a vid for another headpeice. I've made a few headpeices for fashion shows and your base is my "go to" process, in the infancy of my elaborate headpeices. I've used 1mm foam sheets (found at any craft store) and cut them into 3-5mm strips and WRAPPED them around the wire base with hot glue. *Convenient* if you don't have ribbon. I also place the ribbon over the foam sheet strips (my stuff is used for promo's) which interprets as *Close-up* photography, so the output needs to look highend. The foam strips, combined with the ribbon makes the headpeice *very* comfortable for the model, particularly in promo work with photoshoots etc. *Excuse* the rant. Just wanted to sing your praises and share tips from *someone* that utilises your headbase technique on the regular. 👑👑👑👑👍

Thank you so much! I always worry I'm going on too much, but there's so much info I don't want to leave out! Thanks for the advice on foam! I've been experimenting recently with something similar using those craft foam sheets. I have a headpiece on the go at the moment that I'm getting ready for a shoot this summer. I'm making sure to document the process this time that I can edit into a video! And if you ever fancy sharing your work, I'd love to see it! I think my email is about on my channel, or twitter! Thanks again!

Very inspiring! Thanks for sharing! What you said about the glue; I saw a DIY youtuber use black gluestick for the glue gun once ( can´t remember who og when). I do not know where to get it, but it´s out there :) Just wanted to share.

I did a quick search and they do sell it on amazon :)

How did the Hair stylist get the hair through that complex structure? 🤔
@LemonSodaHair6 жыл бұрын
So, I used a crochet hook to pull some of the hair through. That sounds harsh but it doesn't pull really, since any hair that's not easy liftable just slips out. Then there is a few handfuls of tangled, fake hair snagged across the top which gives a bit more of an illusion that hair goes right through. In fact there really wasn't much pulled up with the crochet hook, just enough to have something in there. Hope that helps!

Lemon/Soda Thank you SO much. And sorry, I got t this video because of the base and didn't know that you were the stylist. Helped me a lot and I used that construction several times already. Keep it up 👍

Oh nice one! My original plan was to use aluminium rods, then that changed to those sticks you use to keep plants straight and then finally ended up as kebab skewers >.< I'm glad you could find something to work for you! Glad it was useful and thanks for the helpful comment!

@@LemonSodaHair You don’t have too many words! You explained what you needed to and made the video so everyone could understand what you were doing. You are talking with an audience who are all different and have different needs as to following directions. You did an absolutely fantastic job! Keep up the excellent tutorial.
