Tip: Do this on the top and bottom, add a button at the top wired to the piston at the at the bottom and add a button that is wired to the piston at the top. Now you also have a working call button that brings the elevator down!

It means to connect red stone to the piston to a button. So if I have a piston at the top, connect it to a newly placed button at the bottom.

For those playing on xbox now you cant use blocks of obsidian with slime blocks or they wont move so you will need to use respawn anchors

This is great for the adventure world I'm making for my friends/family; haunted asylum type thing (big building). One thing I will say, though: next time get us to place the top obsidian BEFORE I have to go chasing my elevator 😅 seeing it take off to the sky was a fright and a half! Thankfully the build was only a tad bigger than the space I'd set aside for the elevator so this was really a great find for me personally.

I'm playing in Java 1.19 and this elevator builds breaks when I get to the observer loop. Instead of sending the whole build to the point I placed the obsidian, the build breaks in half with only a block of space in-between the pistons. I'm not sure what caused this.

U might have put the pistons in reverse order. Make sure regular pistons are at the front ;)

@@RaenofGod I also discovered this as well as a glitch where you fall through on the way up. Both these problems are fixed if you hold jump.

On good way to prevent this is just to remove the top it dose make it less realistic but it makes it to whate u do suffocate
