A gorgeous ring! I like the format of this video and hope you’ll do more like these: having had only one class in Etching, Annealing, Torching, etc., I value your videos and see them as learning classes. Great details in the process of Soldering with the audio lecture. I also still have the tools we had to buy for that first class and workbooks; your video explains a great deal more. Love the closeups of the prong work and I use many of those pliers and files in my Beadwork. You really take a great deal of care with your work, you’re a talented jeweler and a good teacher.

One note as you said you would like feedback but I think it engaged me more When you talk as if we are making the project with you when as opposed it may sound like you are just commentating what you did. If that makes sense. Mostly just make it more personal and feel as if it is directed to the viewer. Loved the vid though. The shots and the explanations are high quality. Just subbed for sure. Love the learning mentality as well

Subscribed! Great video, watching someone ply their craft has always been something I enjoy, and since your videos feature beautiful sparkly things, the magpie in me is very happy.I like this video length,it's long enough to show more of your process without bogging down in every last detail.(I myself can watch for hours, but not everyone has the attention span,I think this length is enough to be satisfying but not long enough that you risk losing viewers).I enjoy the shorts videos as well and will continue to watch them, but I really enjoy the longer, more detailed format the most. I have no doubt that the client’s fiancée was thrilled! Gorgeous ring, that diamond was spectacular.

Great length, clear commentary with everything that you are doing fully explained, and the closeup videography is outstanding. The content is so soothing. And informative! I personally love longer videos. For the style you are going for I think 10-15 minutes is perfect! I believe that longer videos could work but then you'd probably have to do longer sections where it's just you working on the jewlery without as much commentary. I personally also like these kind of longer and relaxing videos, but I do think that they might be too long for many people if they come from the audience that watches your youtube shorts . (After typing all that I just realised that this video is 7 months old so you'll probably have figured stuff out by now :P)

I appreciate the feedback! And you are correct! I feel as though I’m supposed to be talking for the entirety of my videos, so just showing me working without the voiceover makes me feel kind of weird😅 but I’m figuring it out! pefect video, details are always great. I prefer detailed videos over high level summary. Love how you zoom in, give commentary and so on. Continue to talk about things a new person would ask on how to create jewelry. Whats difficult for someone starting out brand new (such as mysefl), I dont know what I dont know. Meaning, I dont know questions should I be asking. Would love for you to give much detail. thank you

I am enjoying the videos you have posted. However, to satisfy KZbin and their monetization system they want videos that are about 35 minutes long I think. I could definitely watch for that long, I find everything you have shown us to be interesting. I’d like to see start to finish ring sizing… maybe with explanation about why gold is removed from the band to reduce the size of a ring but to make a ring bigger jewelers will stretch that band instead of adding some gold to it. Maybe show us some chain work… repairs to chains, bracelets etc. I would love education about different gem stones… do and don’t about pearls, sos and don’t about gold ie swimming in chlorine, household cleaners effect on gold and gems etc.

after geology/gemology videos and now this, i wonder if i have a random calling for jewelry making. i love fine motor tasks, geometry, jewelry, attention to detail... HMMM! been trying to figure out a unique, fulfilling career for myself.

I'm curious as to how someone gets into this business. Did your parents own a jewelry store and you inherited it and learned all of this from him, or did you go to school for it? It seems like so many nuanced steps go into making a ring.

I grew up around the industry because my dad had a store. I went to the military out of highschool and then went to the Gemological Institute of America to learn to be a Jeweler and opened my current business with my family in 2016👍
