@@curiozity.6774 I'm playing with a broken radius which is a forearm bone, If you are lucky you can play in a cast with a broken arm which is what I'm doing. I injured my right forearm which is my main hand so I am playing basically all lefty which is okay because before the break I practiced left handed a ton. (I have no idea why I put this much detail.)

Would be neat to get a 'State of the MCLA' type video. Played in the old LSA and had some epic games against UT, but I've been removed from the league for 15+ years now. I'd love to see how things are stacking up and who the top contenders are nowadays. On that same note, videos highlighting some of the legends of MCLA - Tony Scazzero and his legacy at A&M for example would make for an excellent video.

Hi ik this has nothing to do with video but I'm stuck on choosing alloy or composite shaft, I absolutely hate the feel of composite shafts it feels rough and kind of like sand paper for me which bothers me plus I hate the colors it has but a lot of people say get it cause it bends and is lighter allowing faster shots which is great. Now for the alloy shaft I love how smooth it is plus I'm able to get it in silver but it doesn't bend and is kind of stiff making it not as fast and light as the composite, so I've just been stuck on which one to choose.

If you don’t like composite shaft don’t get one, you can still be deadly with one

The best way to develop confidence is to put in the work. If you know you can dodge and shoot and throw crazy skip passes, if you get good, put in the time and effort at practice and in the weight room, you will be confident. All the positive self-talk in the world won't make you feel confident if you know you aren't very good. Getting better is the best way to build confidence and getting better means putting in the work. When you know you have done the work, you will be confident.

How and I get better when my teammates are just so lazy and don’t care enough to practice. I’m in high school this is my last year and I’m tryna play lacrosse at the next level. We had two games so far and in them two games I played like it’s my last. I had the other team coaches try to get me to transfer to their school. But my teammates can’t throw the ball or catch it’s so frustrating play mid field and when my teammates can’t catch. My coach gives me the green light to do whatever I want but when I start getting in my zone I get targeted by the other team and they sent a player face guard me. How can I gain more trust in my teammates and not get as frustrated as I do in game?
@coop5593 Жыл бұрын
I have the same problem...Im guessing if you want to play at the next level you play competetive club. I treat my games with my school team like personal training. Help and work with some of the more skilled players if they are there, but use each game as a chance to focus on your 1 on 1, or just anything in your personal game. Dodging, splitting double teams, beating someone who is facegarding you. Then just play club for exposure, and really use that as a chance to play competetively and work on other aspects. Hope this helps.

You should try not to think about what you don't want to do - see what I did there? Honestly you should think about what you want to do. The way the human brain processes things when it hears something like "don't miss" is to only registers the "miss". The don't gets lost. So instead of trying to think about not missing, you should think about hitting your spot. "Hit it" instead of "don't miss". It's a mistake a lot of coaches still make - telling you what NOT to do. But the latest research in sports psychology, performance psychology, coaching and learning say it's a bad idea to think about what NOT to do and MUCH MORE EFFECTIVE to think about what you want to do.

Hi, I’m currently a lacrosse player who only played for 3 seasons straight from 6th grade to 8th grade and now I am a freshman. Spring tryouts are coming up in a few months and I really want to join my schools jv lacrosse team or hopefully varsity team as well as join a elite lacrosse club (Top gun fighting clams). Do you think during these months (during then after winter) I will have enough preparation for the two tryouts if I work on my stick skills and other lacrosse skills for 2 hours straight everyday? I’m also pretty worried because right now I am really skinny (also 110 lbs) and I get pushed around alot during my middle school seasons so do you think I should just quit or persist through?
@jacobfollis5005 Жыл бұрын
Hey, I started playing lacrosse in my junior year of high school and now one year later I will be a starter on my varsity team. If I could give you some advice, I would recommend practicing every day but not too much. I got to be a better player because me and my friends would all go up to our school gym and throw around, play wall ball, shoot, work out, and do everything lacrosse related. I would also recommend that you talk to the coaches before the season in pre season conditioning, and make sure they know that you are there to win. I would stay after every conditioning and do extra work with the coaches because I had never played before and after 2 months they made me JV captain, and later in the season, I got pulled up to varsity for a few games. Good luck :)

Hey bro im skinny and get pushed around a lot too. I found that if the defender initiates contact roll off of him. Also take a lot of aĺley shots and outside shots, once ur hands are free rip it.
