This is a very nice build, but like some other commenters, I have concerns about what happens when it rains. Do the walls stay up or do they start collapsing once there's some water getting in there (and the water WILL get in - although you did cover the top of your shelter with some plastic, the water will still seep into the ground around it and then into the hole)... so yeah. But man, you put a lot of effort into it, and into making it a nice and relaxing space to be in (I loved the bed you made).

when it rains the dirt on top of the plastic is going to get HEAVY since the plastic will allow it to saturate and I am skeptical that the roof structure is strong enough to hold the weight of waterlogged dirt.

If the plastic was laid flat about 3 to 4 foot around beyond the edges covering the bunker, and covered with dirt, will do more to protect from water going down the sides of the bunker.

Have you heard of star posts and cement board. Better still, some timber posts and logs behind. What you have there is a death trap. My grandfather did the same post ww2. One heavy rain and it collapsed totally, fortunately with no one in it. Please reinforce it before you go into it again. Have someone with you and keep your beautiful dog out until it’s safe.

A single cubic yard of soil amounts to 4000 pounds which is the weight of a small pickup truck. When a trench caves in, you are buried under that mass instantly which can prove fatal.

A+ on the video. That's a nice bunker. If that was in Tennessee you'd def need to invest in some dynamite and a backhoe

I couldn’t dig a bunker like that and not realistic for most of us but still loved the video. Loved the music and especially the dog.
