I learned early on that if I couldn’t burst someone down, I could still win the fight by out sustaining them and by ensuring my build had good defensive skills. It helped me reorient how I viewed theorycrafting, and I stopped trying to over budget damage.

Yeah and no. You need a certain burst treshhold for high lvl pvp 1 vs X.

@@Njordin2010 oh for sure. But for those learning PvP, like this video was aimed toward, they probably won’t be able to 1vx with a meta PvP build right away. They’ll need to crutch on a few other stats as well. My experience was from when I was learning how to solo.

i'm trying to do make a build myself. I don't understant one thing : i can obtain 1 type of buff (example: major Savagery) from only one skill at time ?....if i have in the same bar ''Flames of Oblivion'' and ''Evil Hunter'' which give Major Savagery (2629 weapon crit) , my new stat of weapon crit is 2629 or 2629 x 2 ? You only get that buff once, so only 2629

The negatives that each stage provide is the biggest reason, especially the cost increase. you get way more negatives put on you for a very lackluster passive in return

What would you say is the biggest difference betweeen a pvp and pve build? Is just AoE vs single target damage? Certain abilities or different stats?

Stats, skills, sets, everything. Just look at a PvP build on my site vs a PvE build, the needs are 100% different

A question about gear would u run pvp gear because i see a lot of build that dont run any pvp gear i just wondering why thay dont run any pvp gear

PvP sets are necessarily always the "best" for pvp, which is definitely diff from trials. What makes a "pvp build" can be seen more in the traits that's on the gear, such as impen. For example, my magdk's build is made up of sets from pve/crafted, but it's traited in such a way that makes it strong for pvp.

@Dottz Gaming i use the grip set that give 30% speed at all times and the passive from asalt that give another 30% speed and mount speed. in bg speed is good for nightblades and u really help me get beter at pvp thank u. u was right i stop trying to kill every one and i kill more now than whan i tried to kill every one great job dude

Dottz what about vamp? I dont like vamps in general. Evil creatures :D But I am also "sweatlord" in PVP and wanna do 1VX etc. i think I have my build made right but still there are some ppl significantly more tanky, surviving impossible and then there is me, eating dirt. Is undeath pasive such game changer or I still have L2P issues I wonder. Also I am not imperial so I don't wanna go for vamp because of worse sustain. so is Undeath passive MUST HAVE? i am well aware that some fights just cant be won.

If you arnt 100% sure what pots you need for a character i recommend making a few tripots.

Lack of critical resistance is definitely playing with fire. I don't run any additional critical resistance and it's like playing a game of Russian Roulette when it comes to combat. Mess up once and if they have any kind of critical damage you'll definitely feel every single blow.

IMO you should adjust your armor traits to your playstyle if the ones from the build don't fit it- I'm going with at least 3 well-fitted always because I dodge a lot, if you block a lot you could try sturdy etc

4 hits is 100? 100 damage is usually the make or break point for some people. 0.1% and they died. If only they had that extra 26 damage per swing, 😅

Funny this game is still a thing lmao. I remember playing it when it released, and the horde of casuals crying because they couldnt progress into the end questing zone because of some issues with the portal that got you there or the quest, not sure anymore. Hows the balance going? Is vampire deathknight still a thing?

Balance right now for PvP is actually solid overall. And vamp has been changed drastically since the days of old. Game is 100% different

@itzzzRAMPAGE they probably lock in all the numbers at start of battle to make calculation easier. All the proc and skill rules must be slow to calc. I wish they did something like a bigger battlegrounds, 10v10 or something. Xbox eu battlegrounds is dead, only thing people play is greyhost

Good advice, don’t play this game. People are toxic. If you want to raid everyone just complains and asks what your DPS is and if you have been practicing your “rotation”. Absolutely ridiculous.
