Yes and it was a good call. The thing is: 1. Parts with balls/sockets typically have bigger footprints than clip/bar parts. Especially when building in such a small scale, that would mean having significantly less space for adding SNOT or shaping. 2. Having more degrees of freedom than you actually need for a joint also makes for a less stable build.

This design and color is awesome it makes me want a game with that style of weapon and exo suit. I could see it now blasting aliens in space and hijacking other pilots' exo suits one can dream.
