I just wrote in my comment about it being 2022, and people still do not know how, or teach how to do this fundamental thing that Epic refused to give us an example of? I even bought a gamepad to test my demo, but then hit a wall - it doesnt work with Hud controls. Makes me mad Epic didnt do this by default, and has paralyzed my project. (Theres hardly any info on this that isnt PAID. I found one tut, but his HUD methods were too dissimilar to yours, so didnt work for me.)

I truly love the videos you put together and explain the process of creation. I am not 100% if you done this but would you be able to create an extended version of this. Same video but covers the multiple platforms. A working UI/Menu with PC gaming, Mobile gaming and Console Gaming (with a controller like playstation/etc...) that would be amazing

Great video, thanks, but I have a question: what's a usual FPS while the game is just purely running the UI (pre-game menu, lobby, etc)? How does it compare with Unity? There are games where for a lot of the time the user is just browsing menus, I wonder how heavy that is on the CPU and GPU on Unreal.

To anyone that is confused with the Add to Viewport, If anyone has incountered this(I have) in the latest version of Unreal Engine when you try to add the Add to Viewport nod it might not show up. Make sure Context Sensitive is unchecked.

(And seems a lot of people dont know how or teach it even in 2022. Hello! im having an issue where the PNG's Edges Are jagged, and sometimes have white lines around them, i made them in Illustrator and exported as a PNG in 4k rez. any idea what it might be?

You can change the speed of the camera by clicking the camera icon in the top right corner of the viewport. As for sensitivity, you'll have to turn down the sensitivity of your mouse on your computer. Do you mean being able to change the mouse sensitivity in game instead?

Bindings are very inefficient, a better method is to call an update function whenever the player's health changes.

In the style settings for the button, you can change the image size. Hope this helps

You should never use PNGs for games; just about everyone now supports EXR with DWAA compression. EXR with DWAA compression is 90% smaller than PNG, doesn't introduce vignetting or artifacts in the alpha layer, and you get the added benefit of high dynamic range. The only reason PNG support is even still in UE is for legacy reasons.

What’s wrong with PNG? What format do you recommend? I use PNGs because it can do a clear areas of an image with no color, whereas JPG always has white and no clear part of there is no color. What is a better option?

UE5 is a joke - a very bad, very unfunny joke. You can't for instance use keyboard inputs in the UMG widget system when the game is paused. That's right you read that correctly - when the game is paused, keyboard events (even when set to "Execute when paused") in the player controller WILL NOT go through to the widget... the widget can be focused, the right custom even can be called in the widget.... the right keyboard button is set in the player controller.... all the execution pins are linked..... BUT IT JUST DOESN'T WORK. Because UE5 is a joke, like it can't even use the keyboard for menus natively.... you need a plugin to get it done, and it's an overly complicated, repetitive system.
