How to build Orc Tents for your Tabletop Games! - Build and Paint Tutorial

Make a cheap and easy orc tent for all your favorite tabletop games with this build and paint tutorial!
I use this orc tent for my Middle-earth Strategy Battle Game, but it also works perfectly for any other fantasy tabletop games such as Warhammer, Dungeons & Dragons, Frostgrave or any other tabletop games!

This is excellent! I really appreciated seeing every step of the build (THANK YOU for addressing how you base your terrain especially, a lot of build tutorials seem to gloss over it and a lot of things that seem usable end up warping). Using paper towels as a base prior to the actual cloth is big-brain and I'm glad I saw it in action: I was trying to assemble some market stalls for myself and going straight for cloth as the stall covering was extremely difficult because it's so heavy, using paper towel as a base would have saved a lot of hard work!

I like the idea but i wouldnt use paints for miniature maybe with general water colur paints, to reduce costs

That's an idea! I never tried it for terrain, really. Is there a specific brand you'd recommend?

@@bopisminiatures most dollarstore/poundshop craft paint can do the heavy lifting for terrain. Apple barrel is a brand I hear ppl mention the most

Why is there so much wasted effort in this? The cloth will take the glue just as well as the paper skipping a step. As for the base Why bother with it and the crackle paint if you're just going to paint over it? As there finishing techniques in the first place.

The cloth will be heavier when wet, so it would pull the weight down more. Also, as I use different sizes, there is no way that it would all stay up if I would not have something to put it on underneath. Either it would be too heavy if a piece is too big, or it would float around if too small. Feel free to do it your way, however, this is just mine. And why would I not paint the crackle paint? It blends in better when the sand and gravel gets added and when painted makes it look more like a whole. It would jump out a lot if I'd have left it the original colour. But again, you do what you prefer, this is just how I do it and what works for me.
