Amazing DIY project bro. Final product looked pretty good. I just bought the Bushbox pocket stove that's about the same size for about $36. It's a great stove but you can't beat a $1 DIY. Thanks for the video.

Cool! I use a similar set up but its not too labor intensive. Arthritis has taken its toll on me, so I opted using old Brake Shims that my friendly mechanic saves for me. These hardened small sheets of metal already have some cut outs and I just manipulate them to make a stove work. But I like your ingenuity. You made it fun and simple-- Its a great project. Thanks again, Jb.

Impressive! This looks amazing! But it's hard to see because the camera was not focused on what you were doing much of the time. Could you provide some instructions about what to do with the parts you folded over? Thank you. Fantastic project!

I didn't have a cookie sheet I didn't need so I cut up an old Coleman coffee pot. You made this process look easy. You have much better control of your Dremel than I do. I am just trimming up the pieces now and it's taking forever. You also had better control over your tin snips than I did so I have a lot of trimming to do. I guess I'm just OUT OF CONTROL. lol Good video, thanks for sharing. I love making things.

Nice video. Some of the cheap models on Amazon make it easy to just purchase one over build one, but they have some design flaws. Your build fixes those flaws. Nice job.

Major design floor with this is that the bottom is way too close to the ground. Thats just my opinion though on using many of these stove s over the years. Just needs lifting up a bit. Otherwise a very cool project and well thought out.

Excellent design. Alum for lightweight. Dissasembles and/or folds flat. If the grill bars were simply parallel, would be stronger and easier to work with. I must make one of these. Thanx!

Great job. Those dollar store pans come in handy. Try making a vargo type stove out of a 2 dollar esbit burner from warden's supply. Also you can make a cheap civil war half canteen skillet from a pie pan. The metal gets harder with burns. so a good option.

Great little stove. Grind down the sharp points and edges and toss it in a little freezer weight zip lock back to keep the parts together and the soot from getting on anything and you're good to go. Great tutorial, and I love watching these DIY projects. My only comment is why spend an hour making something like this for $1-2 when I've seen precision machined ones for as low as $6.50 online. They fit together every time, and have no jagged edges to cut yourself on in the woods.

Very neat little stove but as an avid camper I'm not seeing what you use it for? Could you make a video showing how you use it? I just make a small fire pit and throw a little grill over it to cook anything I need. Do you set this on top of the coals?

$1 Wood Burning Pocket Stove MYOG: kzbin.info/www/bejne/h6nHiWuHqtl4r5I A lot of places don't allow open/uncontained fires this should meet the local requirements. The little stove also focus the heat better than and open flame and provides a windscreen.

If I'm hearing that correctly, are you using a DSLR with a stabilized lens? Turn off in-lens stabilization when you're mounted to a tripod. No need for it and it just tries to stabilize against movement when there is none (and creates noise in the in-cam mic).
@SurvivalFirst9 жыл бұрын
I am using a dslr with image stabilization. I just assumed if the camera was stable it did not do anything. I appreciate the advice, I will be sure and turn off the stabilization for the next video. Thank you!
