Hi I have bought this kit and have watched all your videos at least 3 times . I pick up different tips each time like in this video about the holes in the deadeyes. I agree with you as I love to weather my model aircraft. The model sailing ships you see online I have never seen a weathered battered old sailing ship. I'm sure when these 18th 19th century ships were built they never looked like the models all shiny and new. So I'm going to try and build this as its 10 years old and not loved to much ha ha

At 6:42 in the video you mention that you don't know the name of the piece you are building. They are a set of rails that typically go around a mast and hold the belaying pins. They are called fife rails. It's thought that in the age of tall ships each ship had a fifer, a man who played a fife to set the time as men raised the anchor. He would sit on this rail as he played, hence the name fife rail. Go to Wikipedia and type fife rail for more info.
