I just wanted to thank you for the tutorial and pdf. Best $8.00 purchase ever. I’m going to have it made when my backyard gets remodeled. Thank you!

beautiful gym! I will be making mine soon too.

Awesome. Just to chime in: I have been seriously considering an outdoor gym and I found that there are steel "sleeve" type steel brackets for both 4x4 and 6x6 lumber available, intented for building pergolas. 'T's, 3 way, 45's, feet, etc. Part of my dream is a row of monkey bars for mad/fun upper body work. Hope this helps and inspires.

Thanks! Yep, if you want to use wood, these post sleeves will be perfect. Wooden construction will be definitely cheaper and easier to build but also less durable and stable. But it's a good alternative to steel💪

This is a really nice build man. How has it held up with rain and drainage? I like those rubber mats, but I’m wondering if they hold water.
@DIYCraftitect2 ай бұрын
@@nickk1502 Thanks! These mats allow water to pass through so the rain is not a problem😊

What stuff u used to connect bar pipe?
@DIYCraftitect6 ай бұрын
I welded pipes to metal squares and screwed it to posts. You can also buy metal flanges and avoid welding. If you want more details, check out my PDF guide - link is in the description. Good luck! :-)

If this was all steel with powder coating, how much did it cost? Good lord, im looking for long lasting and not wallet obliterating.
@DIYCraftitect4 ай бұрын
Hello! The steel parts cost me around 400$ but it can vary significantly depending on location and other factors. Check the facebook marketplace and craigslist for the best deals. Good luck!💪

@@DIYCraftitect how much was the powder coat? That's not cheap up in north Idaho. I've got a Pacific steel in local area though so steel is......cheaper than home Depot.
@DIYCraftitect4 ай бұрын
@@ArchangelLunas A friend of mine has a powder coating company so he gave me very good price. Though it is not cheap it's the best way to preserve the steel. And if you can, buy galvanized steel instead of raw.

@@ArchangelLunas Online dealers such as Metals Depot will ship it to you, cut to the lengths you specify. I plan on lumber, but might go that way just because I tend to have that, “ Buy once, cry once” mentality. But honestly, with paint, lumber will probably outlast us both.
