Josh, about mounting the motor. There are no mounting holes that line up with the X motor mount. Also the servo screws that you suggested are way too small. The hole pattern is ~ 1-11/16”. I used a scratch all and ruler to make small starter holes in the firewall. Then found 4 larger counter sink screws.

Finally, glad to see you guys catch on with head-tracking! It’s the most immersive way to fly😁. Preview footage looks like it’s from a 360° camera, not head-tracking FPV, pretty clever trick😉

Is there anything special I need to know about painting a foam built plane? This is the first foam plane build for me. Been flying RC off and on for 40 years.

That looks HUGE. I'm sure it is lightweight, but damn I think a Ukrainian drone "looks" less weighty. If I saw six of those buzzing down an open field towards me - I would RUN!

That is great so was the Mini, however with todays sub 250 gram freedom FT needs to create a sub 250 Triplane and SE5a in a size that most are now going to . Because from what I hear even sub 250 in the not to future will also be required to have ID as the Network ID platform is being created and tested as we speak . Even the current Freedom the FRIA's are enjoying will also soon go away as a FRIA Network ID will also be implemented and operators having to "sign in" as it were to be able to fly even in a FRIA. That is the info I have been hearing SO for now Sub 250 is the way to go and the least trackable , less restricted size to fly

That’s just simple rustoleum 2X spray paint. I like the scuff with steel wool or red scotch bright

I really want to build this, but I'll have to mod the design so I can take the wings off. There's no way this plane will fit in my car all glued together 😂
