Jonas, this was I think the best looking leather that I have used for a tote. I have made several totes from leather that I purchased from Montana Leather and they have been popular at my show. Thanks for watching and commenting.

@@InMyBusyLittleShopim back with another stupid question. lol. how did you get them to send you a 36x36 piece? that would make it a lot easier for sure then wrestling with the whole side. plus the side i have might just barely allow me to cut a 36x36 square out of.

Beautiful tote! Could you do a 3/8" side seam to allow the bottom of the seam to be open when you box the bottom? Might help with the bulk.
@InMyBusyLittleShop3 ай бұрын
I might play with a few different seams and try different designs over the winter when I have more time to play.
@bbymks53 ай бұрын
@@InMyBusyLittleShop you may even be able to do a majority of the side seam at a 1/4" and down towards the bottom increase that seam so you're able to have it open? You can always try it on a small project like a box bottom pouch 👝 for toiletries.

Awesome Robert ...hows Montana's veg tan?
@InMyBusyLittleShop9 ай бұрын
Thanks! I have purchased a few different veg-tan leathers from Montana Leather. I purchased some Hermann Oak at 10oz. I have used it on a few smaller projects and I also purchased some Sepici Veg-Tan that has been made in Turkey since 1930. The Sepici really looks nice and has worked good for me in the past. I also have a really nice looking blue that I purchased from Montana Leather at the show in Prescott AZ last month that I am excited to try out soon. Keep watching and thanks!

Hey bag is great ,im curious if u could help me ,im yrying to find out what sewing machine could i buy to stitch boot soles on, like re-booting old boots as a hobby and trade the only machines i ever seen being used are thos old landis hook needle machines and i dont want 2000 pd ild machines that are hir and miss day to day, if you answer thanks in advance
@InMyBusyLittleShopАй бұрын
Those Landis machines are big and get the job done. Unfortunately I really don’t know anything about machines used in the shoe repair business. You might call The Leather Machine Company. Another source would be to call Eric Landwerlen at Landwerlen Leather in Indianapolis. He knows the business and supplies the cobblers in the US. Sorry I’m not more help.
