That textured paint really makes the brick walls stand out in 3D relief...quite a realistic effect! -from Tom Pilling

Thank you. I like the effect too. I use it on my N scales as well

Sean Pepple thanks!! Yea I just went to look if I had any of the paint left unfortunately it’s all gone but I’m pretty sure it was rustoleum I think the color might have been almond or sand. I found it my local Home Depot. Just be careful with it it comes out fast and very easy to get too heavy with it.

My impression of sanding the bottoms of the walls or any other parts that should retain a 90 degree angle with the vertical surface is that using a fix strip of sandpaper and a block to hold the piece vertical during sanding gives better results in the long run than using a small emery board.

I have built the n-scale version and appreciate seeing your video. I do find the back ground music very annoying and of no value to the video.

Roger, thank you for your comments. I have built the N scale version as well and enjoyed doing so. I do agree that the music in this video is way too loud and it was not intended to be that loud. I have just started using a new editing program and I am still learning my way around it. As for the methods of sanding the edges, the way I showed was mostly just to remove the burrs that occurred when cutting parts off the trees; the emery boards are more than sufficient. On the other hand, if I were to remove any more material than that, the method you described would be in order for sure.

I created a "tool" for sanding the "bottom edge" of kit parts. I purchased a piece of aluminum angle material about 2" on each leg. I attached a strip of sandpaper (3M of course) to the inside of one leg. This keeps the part at a 90 degree angle with the sandpaper. PS: I retired from 3M in 2005.

Video procedures are very good. The music sucks!
