This is a nearly perfect presentation of basic shed or carriage door construction and installation, both in form and content. The bar is set. Well done!

You are an amazing woodworker, fast and efficient. I will need to watch the calculation part again to full grasp the overlaps. Great video.

This is a really great guide for building shed doors! If I had a shed that needed new doors, I would certainly use this!

One of the best videos in building and installing shop doors. Leave a link to your tools and hardwood you used. And link them to your business. So that if someone in Alaska buys the hardware from you link you’ll earn $. So no impact on local business.

Thanks for the share! Bonus, what a great workshop! Love some of the "simple" touches you did - a simple painting corner, assembly bench, etc. Always appreciate seeing other people's setup so I can get more ideas for how I might do something for myself. I don't have anything set up yet, but I'm trying to gather ideas on how to do it well, but on the cheap because I'm not looking to do any production level work anytime soon. Here's to your channel growing!

Really enjoyed your video and learned a great deal as I'm about to build three shed doors. It would be helpful if you would include links to the hardware you used on your doors, particularly the latch pins. Haven't been able to find anything similar. Thanks for publishing the video!

Best video I’ve seen in this topic. Can you include links in description where ti get the hardware used? I checked your website but there are no products you used available for purchase there.

HELLO ALL, IM FOLLOW YOUR VIDEO TO BUILD NEW DOORS FOR MY SHED AND GOT A LITTLE CONFUSED AROUND THE 4:10 MARK ABOUT THE UPRIGHT MEASUREMENTS. CAN YOU HELP PLEASE.
@Jason-oh1vl11 ай бұрын
I built these doors with the correct measurements. However when I put on the hinges and was going to hang the doors. The door trim and the trim the hinges connects to doesn’t line up. Do you know why this would be?

This is nice and thorough. It's like I'm watching a video from HGTV. I'm curious to know how to repair a rotted out shed hinge.

Great video but I'm slightly confused, based on the measurements for the door panels in the beginning of the video it appears the left door panel should overhang the framing and the right door should be flush but once the doors are built it appears the right door overhangs the left, am I understanding this correctly? I have to build some shed doors and I want to make sure I get it right the first time around.
@BobL-h8n5 ай бұрын
Yes, please add details on the overhang. Looks like on the left door, the trim on the center/inside is not flush.

what size was the LP trim boards? 5/4' X 4 nominal (1" X 3.5" actual) or 1" X 4" nominal (3/4" X 3.5" actual)?

I agree with Jason. I just wasted a bunch of time making the doors. Like Jason mentioned, the hinges don't line up. The 7/8 overlap on the door is the thickness of the siding + the thickness of the trim. But the shed side just has the thickness of the trim. So the door sticks out 7/16 past the shed trim which makes the door not shut. The only fix is to cut siding strips the size of the shed trim for a shim. Looks stupid as hell, only option is to start over, and not use this guys instructions.
