This works for WAR DECKS too! I simplified the video to make it easier for every type of player to understand. PEKKA and MEGA KNIGHT users: MK goes in the wild card section and pekka goes in the tank buster section. These are super defensive cards, but you still need a real win condition!

If you haven't started focusing on levelling up the cards you use yet then you are playing the game wrong

Been playing since release and I've always been a deck maker. I didn't play the game so much rather I just created new decks for my friends whenever they asked. I even created such a good deck that my friend got from 4000 - 6000 purely based on that, then the cards got nerfed :( Anyway, I still play the game from time to time but making decks have always been the go-to for me. The best part is when your friends take a look at the deck and think: Wtf is that, that looks shit. And wants to swap out some of the cards because they are "way too bad", but then, when I force them to atleast try it they get 10+ wins in a row and get's super weirded when it actually work. The bad thing is that every arena and trophy group has it's own meta so you gotta adapt to everyone of those, one deck may only work at 4000 trophies super well but when they get up to 4500 it sucks and get's hardcore counted every game, that's usually when they ask for a new, it works, get's trashed and repeat. Anyway, if anyone even read that I'll give you some tips when creating decks, you can't just magically throw in cards that you think work, you need to look at the deck, analyze it and think. -Will these cards fully kill most win coinditions un-supported? -Will these cards fully kill most win conditions when supported? If not, what can I add to make it do so? A tank killer, a building, a swarm? -What can I do if the opponent put an expensive troop down? Hog rider, battle ram? -When I kill their win condition with a few troops already placed. How will I counter push? If I have high elixir? If I have low elixir? Miner? Giant? Baloon? Also, some cards can be used to replace spells. But that depends solely on your deck and if it is worth it. For example, if you have a giant beatdown deck. Replacing fireball with a miner would NOT be a good idea. But having a miner, hogrider, battleram deck. Replacing arrows with a princess could be a great idea, depending on what other cards you have. You don't always need to follow this "template". Be creative, one of the decks I made was super annoying for the opponent. Super good defense countering EVERY win conditions with alot of troops placed already, and counter pushing very easy. It was meant for counter-pushing and it was so fun to play. Destroying their win condition while counter-pushing and taking alot of damage/completely taking the tower when they barely have any elixir to counter it all or simply lacked the defense cards to do so is the best. Wow! I am honestly surprised that of those times that I make a deck, I always had that idea that there is a general archetype almost as you presented it in this video. The win condition, something to defend the opponent's win condition, something that defends things in the air, a tank or mini tank, some cheap unit, two spells and a card that combines well with the deck. It's good to know that all this time I used the appropriate method to create the decks that I used in all the time I've been playing CR.

This is a very good guide but some decks don't need tank busters or swarms. A mortar bait deck has plenty of cards that fulfil two roles. Rascals can be used as a mini tank and tank killer, mortar can be used as a win condition or defensive building, and the miner's roles switches depending on the mortar's purpose. Boss's giant edrag deck doesn't have any swarms, but an extra spell instead. And certain decks can do well without a big spell, for example most balloon cycle decks/3M.

There are definately oddball decks like the ones you've mentioned that don't follow these "rules" I think this video is more a very rough guide to make sure you don't end up with some kind of crazy deck that most people around 5k tend to use. But you're right loads of decks don't follow this exact pattern, for instance, splashyard freeze decks, where the only spells (if you don't count graveyard) can be just freeze and tornado, then basically one minitank, a building, and all splash cards, no tank buster either

Maybe Valkyrie and Megaknight do the same job so you may have a hard time against air decks but I do think your deck is pretty solid. Maybe instead of arrows you may want a zap to reset the Infernal Tower but in the other hand you will be weaker against air decks. So if you change zap by arrows maybe change valkyrie into a tank that can attack air or the Megaknight (if he is part of a Win Condition don’t change him). I would leave your deck as it is but do keep checking out the new metas to see if you may want to change something. Good luck, I’m at 4750 trophies, level 10 and cards level 9, 10 and a few 11.

@Lit Gamer Good point, I do see more traditional ones like lavaloon that work well. I just get set in my ways and attached to my cards after playing with them so long. I use this deck for everything, and Rage is useful for 2v2 when my cards and opponent cards get Rage'd and wreak havoc. But yeah, I could see replacing it. My other stuff uses a lot of elixir, so I'd need something at 2 or less in that Rage slot.

I built my own deck before watching, and I think it’s pretty good at following this mostly. WC: Battle Ram, SS: Zap, BS:Tornado (It’s a second spell not a large spell I guess) MT: Knight, SW: Minions, SP, Wizard, TB: Bomb Tower and Wild: Mega Knight

Heres a tip Try vibing with the opponent if they dont vibe with you then its gonna be a tough match... If they do then losing dont matter
