I'd advise starting small. Like REALLY small. Make a game in a week. Then another game in a week. Make a few extremely simple games, and then you can start making a few games that take up to a month, then some games that take 3-6 months, then some games that take up to a year. Too many people have this "GREAT" idea in their head. They start on it, realize that making their game is too hard, and then they give up on the game entirely. You're not going to be able to make a fully fledged AAA RPG as your first game, simply because you are inexperienced

It might sound a bit funny or ridiculous but roblox (yes the game for kids) can be an option. It won't compare with the other platforms in the video but it might be easier. Roblox uses lua for coding games and has its own system of building. If you sell items on your game or make it pay to play you can earn in game currency which can be transferred into irl money. Some people have made a lot of money this way. The con is that the game will indeed look blocky but it is supposed to be for beginners.

I'm not sure if you are still working on it or gave up, but I would like to give you my idea. For a game that switches between 2D and 3D, It would probably be best as a puzzle game or at least have to solve puzzles as a core element of it. The only real problem for a game like this would be its design for both 2D and 3D since it wouldn't look nice without consistency.

there is really no technique, you just need to get lucky. some tips to improve include having an upload schedule, being unique, having a lot of skill in a certain way or more, and having a sense of humor. although there is no guaranteed way to become successful, it is 90% luck.

Okay, this is something for guys who are just stating. I just want to tell you that you can do it! It will sometimes feel hard, you will want to quit, you will question yourself is it worth it, but in the end it will pay off.. Maybe not in the terms of money, but you will feel incredible after you publish your first game and see someone else play it.. I started doing this about half a year ago and now i have 3 published games (they aren't anything special, but they are mine and i love them). I suggest you start with Unity Engine because there is just so much tutorials online.. It's zbrush. But don't even think about it. It's super expansive. Try out Blender which is free. You can do sculpting in there as well. Sculpting in Blender might maybe not be as powerfull as in zbrush. But i dont expect you create a fully detailed gigantic dragon after the first time using it.
