This is a general guide on how to build your teams in Guardian Tales! I tried to make easy to understand and process so I hope you enjoy.

This will not go in depth on super specific meta team builds, or explanation of some specific meta team combinations. This would be just a general guide on what to look out or find for when building your team composition.
The guide would explain hero element importance, how chain skills work and hero class, exclusive weapon, and hero rarity significance.
This guide will cover the basics and some team recommendations as well.
Moreover, the information is this video will mostly be based on my knowledge, what I got from friends and what I generally base on in building my teams. So, I would recommend finding other videos to help as well.

NOTE: EDIT: HERE'S THE VIDEO FOR PARTY BUFFS!!! kzbin.info/www/bejne/nHm3qHSdjpJompY One thing I forgot, The PARTY BUFF also is very important. Should be included at the Hero/Rarity Part (4:07). This is where the 'synergy' term I keep saying will also be applied. The right mixture of party buffs in a team can determine what type of team it is and what it focuses on. Party buffs are buffs that a hero has that buff the whole party, it should be seen under the hero information tab. Party buffs can increase hp/def, attack of certain elements, crit rate and damage, and so much more. So make sure to know what party buffs your heroes have for it buffs the entire team and has a very large impact. This was pointed out by a reddit user named Crazy-me33, so thanks.

For the newbies i recomend using favi as your first healer, but you can get a free miya as of right now ( 3rd anniversary ). And a free future princess after finishing world 10 which is a good tank and healer

the real thing that you need to know before making a team is the party buff, the chain skill compatibility and have 1 tank atleast, the others usually come by themselves. taking too much information on class is not really usefull. noxia is asupport but heal herself while garam is a dps distance who heal everyone while attacking. aside the 3 things mentionned earlier the others stuff like class, element and whatever follow are usually used to make raids team, mono team, expedition team or late kamazone lvl team. but you're really kind for making this video for newbies

Nice video & I like how you simplified the mechanics enough so new players can understand it. There are a couple common misconceptions I'd like to point out tho, which are prevalent factors w/ newbies struggling to progress. I know you didn't intend to go very deep into optimal team composition, but I just had to point out that FP is simply not a great leader for PvE. Others like Beth are far more effective as leader even in world 11, especially when she's designed to take on crowds of enemies. Despite FP's elemental advantage, her DPS is very low by nature of being a tank, so the dmg bonus honestly doesn't amount to much. FP is first and foremost for PvP, mostly as colosseum leader, so relying on her as leader for story mode only gives enemies more time to deal dmg to your team. In contrast, making Beth leader in that team would reduce the number of enemies much faster, reducing incoming dmg to your team, & her weapon skill recharges much faster and thereby does better at crowd-controlling enemies that survive it (which aren't many). Moreover, Craig works best as sole tank + dedicated healer, so other tanks on the team offer no practical benefit in story mode & are better switched out for increased DPS or a dedicated healer if the team only has part-time healers (Garam, Kamael, etc). Even Aoba is an excellent choice & she doesn't even have to be max limit-broken if the rest of the team is (saving Hero Crystals for other heroes). That said, I agree 100% w/ your closing remark for advising new players to actually take the time to learn the game for themselves. Copying top teams can only take you so far & the colosseum leaderboard gives 0 information about attack teams or formations. Speaking of which, feel free to reach out to me if you want some tips & tricks to include in an advanced colosseum tactics video, should you decide to make one. I remain active to this day & can consistently rank t10 w/out much effort, altho I enjoy spending more time experimenting & messing around w/ unorthodox teams than getting t1 every week. I don't consider myself a content creator, but u can find a number of replays I've uploaded on my channel if u want a reference.

Thank you for your feedback! Although I did not directly say that FP should be the main lead, I did hint it in a way because majority of my teams are FP lead and I mentioned her chain skill as well. The things you pointed out about Beth, Craig, and other possible comps I can agree on since I do that as well. Using Beth clears much faster and since she's basically self sustain, can last longer when battling even without a healer. I do plan to make a much more in depth guide on certain heroes, how to play story, and so much more. I only did this video as an introduction to team building. Hello machino, although I have already commented on the og video, I would like your input as well. For a team, should I go with Beth,Claude, Karina, Corps commander OR Kamael,Claude,Karina,Corps Commander? I also have Miya and future princess. Note: all heroes have ex weapon

@@kaizoya5507 Beth & Claude have conflicting party buffs, so u must decide whether u want to build a melee team around Beth or a ranged team around Claude. Both are equally viable for story mode, but both would also do best w/ Craig as tank (ascension not required). However, it sounds like your roster is more ranged-heavy, so building a ranged team would probably be most efficient for u. Your best team for story mode would be Claude, 1CC, Miya (or Karina if already ascended), & Craig. Oghma (tank mode) would also work good as tank, but u would need to mind assassins & wizards when clearing rooms. For raids, boss rush, & even your first expedition team (no need to really worry about too much early on tho), u would just replace Craig w/ Oghma (rifle mode).

@@machina3182 This is exactly what I have done. I have ditched Beth and bought Oghma as my tank. So now my main team consists of Oghma, Cc,Claude and Karina (Ascended). Thank you for the answer btw. Also now between Oghma and Craig (non-ascended) whose a better defender at story? Last question,should I now focus on Oghma rifle ex weapon? Thank you again for the help

@@kaizoya5507 Craig is still the PvE GOAT (Greatest of All Tanks) even as a rare. However, Oghma is still a good 2nd place. Moreover, investing in Oghma will be more efficient for u early on as u won't have to build him later for rifle mode. If u already built Oghma tho, I'd say it'd be more ideal to leave Craig for later til Oghma simply isn't an ideal choice. This might occur when u try clearing w14 passages (100% light mobs), but the increased lvl cap for equipment since then might be able to overcome the disadvantage, not to mention 1CC's ATK debuff. I'd wait until then to make that decision.

Why not do Corps Commander, FP, Miya, and Claude/Kamael depending on what suits you. If you want to use Beth, do Beth, FP, Miya, Craig/Any Tank and Melee hero. Slash are there as options.

Assuming that you only have ranged unique heroes, getting a healer like Miya or Sia would be good because you already have DPS. Also get a tank (You can get Craig easily cuz hes a rare hero, or FP because she's free after completing world 9) just so your team wouldn't die from being too squishy.

Future Princess, Beth or Kamael are good choices, if you don't have a tank yet pick FP, beth is one of the best melee heroes, and kamael is also a good ranged support to pick. Every single one of them can be used in story, colosseum, and arena so you really only have to pick what you prioritize the most.

Oh if that's so, then go with beth cuz she's usable in every area of the game. Since you have FP as a tank, her ex weap can come later and Beth can clear faster and kill bosses faster as well. If you aren't gonna use FP as lead then her EX weap isn't that needed.

It's either you haven't finished the latest world for the level cap increase, or you haven't MAX limit broken the hero which is limit breaking the hero 5 times.

I have tried so many different combos and I can't get my stats nowhere near yours. My best team is 480ishk dps and 3millionish defense. They are all lvl 95 and with there epic weapon and matching merch for there attack type. I go into any of the stages in world 17 and within 5 seconds my team is dead. I don't even have enough time to try and kill or interrupt the bad guys. It is beyong frustrating. I am not looking to be an epic raider or rule the pvp scene. I just want to finish the damn story without being 1 shot by trash. I have no idea what I can do to make them stronger. I also tried a pure fire team for this stage and it did even worse than my main team since they are not all unique. My main has switched between the following: Noxia w exclusive weapon in training (so lvl 95) MK 99 with exclusive weapon Morrian in training Eunha. I have tried switching Eunha out with Miya with her exclusive weapon. Also tried using Lahn with ex weapon instead of Morrian. No matter what team I have my stats are trash and I die just as quickly to trash. Honestly I am about to the point of just deleting this game and being done with it. I am pretty much a ftp player. I buy the 2.99 a month diamond sub but thats it. STill I have been playing for a long time and don't understand why my overall stats are so low compared to others. I have relics unlocked, maxed out merch, etc. What else can I do to increase there strength? I can't take this bs of being 1 shot to trash when trying to play.

Just gonna comment on some recommendations, why not use a tank like Craig and FP in the same team. Craig with ascension is better than FP in terms of toughness, but FP is a good tank for a team leader. Having Eunha with Miya in the same team adds a lot of healing, and since Eunha is a basic DPS pairing her with a lot more basic heroes can help. About the DPS and toughness, collection is a big factor in increasing it, as well as having maxed out accessories and stuff. Collection basically are sub stat bonuses you can stack overtime. Craig makes it so you squishy heroes don't get one-shot and it's important that craig is ascended. Other heroes such as Miya and Eunha can go as a pair as well for healing, but if you want to have a dps, Eunha and FK can go as a pair or another ranged basic hero. Top 10 Hero list for reference, just don't use rosetta and kai kzbin.info/www/bejne/iHOvc2WLpa-hd9Esi=OJYZrMP_wX1xXDnR Having a tank or two tanks, a healer, a dps or a sub dps, is essential for every team. I hope this helps a bit in your GT adventure.

You have an option to summon for the hero first since it has higher probability than weapon summon (if I remember correctly). But after you get a certain hero and their weapon is on the banner it won't hurt to summon it too. I suggest summoning for heroes then go for their weapon either from summon or mileage. But it also depends on what you have, if you have the hero then summon the weapon and vice versa.

Stat boosts like accessory and weapon sub stat maximization and limit breaking and increasing hero/weapon collection. Also obviously leveling up, maxing out awakening, evolution, and hero max limit breaking.
