Nice Bro, I'm gonna tell you tho, I would NEVER use a clip on my leader, that's just my opinion, too risky, the current multiplies the force exerted on the fish against the leader.😁

I was hesitant on that clip for a long time. But I wanted a way to change my stuff up quicker. I thought for sure the extra area exposed would be snag city. But knock on wood it hasn't yet. But now that I say that Bob ill be hung the entire time this upcoming Saturday lol!!

Hey so why use bumping vs just drifting something like a santee rig or carolina rig?

I feel like bumping is a more natural presentation and I get 10x the hook ups running 1 bumping rod as opposed to anything else. That and I've never had much luck in heavy current using other techniques. Just to many things going on. I'd need 16-24oz sinkers to hold the baits down. The majority of this trip was in 3-5mph+ current.

How would you fish shallow water on a kayak?

I need so many more variables. But we will say shallow is less than 5 foot. I'm finding stretches of the river with deeper pockets. Anchoring above and casting in front of them.
