They all will break targets but how will they hold up after 5 - 10K rounds put through them? That is the selling point. Years ago when I shot Helice Tournaments I shot a SC3 Perazzi and expensive shells. A kid who was local would show up with his $400 Berretta auto shooting cheap promo ammo and win the money. So any gun will break targets in the right person's hands.

I love this channel and have learned a lot from it which I am great full. Now…budget guns for me are anything under £500. I know you get what you pay for but if you are in tight budget which is most people i know, starting to learn the sport, and want to distress from usual work pressures, you can have a bawl for under £500. I started with s/s aya battered to bits, overpriced (payed £125 should have payed under 100), then moved to a armsan a612 semi auto, great gun for vermin work, and game, that set me back £250, including 3 chokes, almost brand new. After that I started to be bit more serious about sporting/skeet and DTL and bought a rizzini side plate fixed chokes, in need of some tlc but was the gun that gave me the most results and again cost me £210, wood needed Some love and forend had a small crack, but is still going strong. Finally got a Browning medalist multichoke, longer barrel and bit heavy for £200. Had a small repaired crack on stoke but so far I’m really happy with results I get. I competed against folk equipped with £2000 plus guns and gave them a good run for their money …I must say that all the guns I bought were some kind of cheaper version of guns reviewed or recommended in this channel for which I continue to be great full and will continue to enjoy your videos

My ATA sp bronze is still going strong two years on now, thousands of cartridges through it (past the cost of the gun) I got it as my first gun with full intentions to upgrade down the line but haven’t found a reason to just yet 😊

If it dosen't fit you, dosen't matter if it's 2000 pounds or 200, new or s/h. I'd go for the new Bettinsoli or a s/h Browning/Miroku/Winchester/Beretta. Nice to see you guys have improved the sound quality of the videos too.

I think I’d prefer a second hand Beretta or Miroku for my £1000 ,at least I know it would hold it’s value.

I started shooting sporting about 18 months ago and still only have the 1st gun I bought which was a SH Bettinsoli it suits me fine and I haven’t found it necessary to buy a more expensive gun or a second gun yet I get out enjoy my rounds sometimes good sometimes poor but each one very much fun , great video thank you

It's nice to see you guys catering for the shooter on a budget/first time buyer. I did cringe every time David laid the guns down on that concrete bench though....Ouch!
@richards.77703 жыл бұрын
I agree, I would have had the gun’s gun slip underneath each one. I heard the shotgun hitting the concrete bench and go clunk. Yikes!

David I bought a Yildiz HP 20 ga. from the Academy . It's beautifully made, but the barrels are not regulated properly. The lower barrel diverges -- shoot noticeably low. It's at Briley in Houston Texas negotiating a fix under warranty. You speak well about these guns, but would you please pattern them so we can see if they can achieve job 1: to hit per the bead... both barrels. Then I'll believe they are a quality bargain.

Yes a really great video! I have to say I was caught up in purchasing a “Budget” trap gun here in the states, I choose a Tristar TT-15 DTA, I will say at my club I got some looks of disapproval when I set the gun in the rack on the line, and yes the ever present line of “ I know a guy” when other members spoke of issues with the gun! Now with that all said, I have roughly 2500 rounds through the gun, and have had only 1 issue of a fastener on the stock adjustment coming loose, Yes it is not my 101 live pigeon, those do get a nod of improvement, but honestly they shoot no better then the budget guns, what I am trying to say is don’t be afraid of a budget gun, you may have to put a few dollars into it, but they can and will perform head to head with the big dollar guns!

If your budget is low I think a semi auto is a better choice than an over under at similar price. I bought a Franchi Affinity back in 2017 for $700 that has proven to be a formidable, reliable clay buster. I don't think any over under new at that price would be the same.

Get a well known and tested through years gun from a reputable manufacturer, and you can't go wrong. Get a second hand Beretta or Browning over under with internal chokes and you will be just fine, for years to come...But on a budget, a Bettinsoli ,with its classic Brescia mechanism and inertia trigger is far more reliable and stylish than the turkish guns

My home visit is due, so once that is complete then it will be either the Bettinsoli or Yildiz for me. Went and shot the ATA recently and really liked it but I think I’m leaning towards the Bettinsoli purely on the aesthetics.
