Hi. I appreciate your words. So for the car. Which model is it? ... because as you know there are many variables that goes into calculating the insurance cost. I checked in this website And it was from 500 zloty to 900 zloty per month. But you really need to put those details by yourself to know exactly. Here is an example of calculators rankomat.pl

You said we need to change number plates if moving from one city to another in Poland or other province, is it ? I mean in India if i have a one province no plate then I can easily drive the same one to all over India without any Hassle, why we need to change no everytime ? Can you please help in this regards ?

it is not about changing it if you drive to another state. it is totally fine. but just if you buy it from a different state and you as a person you are registered in the second state you need to change the plates to the state where you are living. hope this makes it clear. all the best.

QUESTION; Returning from Australia after few years careing for my mother now passed away Stuck in German hotel as l can't get appointment to register car for weeks due to lockdown. If l come yo Poland with my euro passport can l buy used car and use hotel address to register? Then come back each year to re-register and test if required. Is all that possible within a week? If l have traffic fines whilst traveling europe can l use email to be notified. Having said that lm 70yrs young and very safe driver. 😄 Thank you for education it was great 👍

Hello Michael. First of all sorry for your loss. May your mother restin peace. As you have a European passport. You have the right to buy a car here in Poland. For registration and problem with the address. You need to have a registered address (even temporary) But not a hotel Vehicle card (if issued). Plates. Foreigner's identity document: passport and residence permit (visa or residence card). Confirmation of the temporary registration of the foreigner (the registration certificate will be valid until this date). I hope it is useful

the insurance is not always based on the car's worth but other factors too, ours which was 7k zlotys we paid about 1k zlotys there are some online calculators to know the price.

From what I understand, you do not need to provide a driving licence during both buying and registration processes. Could you please confirm? Because I am currently in the process of exchanging my non-EU driving licence to a Polish one. Shall I wait till I get my Polish driving licence issued and then proceed to buying or registration steps?

Hey Walid. Thanks for the question. This is what I know. If you recently came, The first three months you can drive with you actual permit. However after those first three months you will need to do something. And here comes the question I have heard different recommendations. But this is what I am sure about. The embassy told me that you will need to bring you permit to us. The rest I cannot tell . I hope this was tiny helpful lol
